Hi… my name is Princess,

Adopted 12-21-20

I am a young, medium-sized girl who looks like a shepherd mix. I’m real friendly, I’ve gotten along with small children, and I love to play with people and other dogs. Pools are loads of fun! I’m only just over a year old and I still need to learn a bunch of stuff, like how to not pull on the leash, how to tell you when I need to go potty, and what’s okay to play with and what’s not. But I got the “sit” thing down pat already, and I’m willing and eager to learn more! Do you have some time to teach me how to be the greatest dog ever? ‘Cause I’m destined for that for sure! I just need a little help getting there while we have fun together!

Hi… my name is Phishy,

Adopted 10-18-20

My adopter returned me after only a month because, even though I’m leash trained and good on walks, he wanted a dog that would enjoy LONG walks with him. The problem was that dog wasn’t me, since I’m not what you could consider a “marathon” walker. But that’s okay, because other than that, he had nothing but good things to say about me! He said I’m housetrained and ask to go out (I can also use the doggie door), and I know how to sit and stay. He did mention that I’m a lover, a good sleeper, and an all- around good boy. If you’re in the market for a great companion, one that’s happy to go on average walks, please call TALGV and find out if we’re that perfect fit.

Hi… my name is Loraine,

Adopted 9-3-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

I am a medium-size, female Afghan hound mix. When my coat grows back it will be long and silky. I am shy at first, but if you give me a few minutes to check you out, we can soon become friends. Just look into my eyes and you will know my story. I get along with just about anyone, humans and dogs alike, but I am not fond of the really small ones. Too hyper, you know? I like it quiet and peaceful. You, too? Can you come and meet me? I’d love a home where I can sit next to someone, go on walks together, and perhaps you can tell me your story, too: I am a real good listener!

Hi… my name is Adobe,

Adopted 9-17-20

My family could no longer keep me, so when I arrived at TALGV, with my former roommate, Phishy, I didn’t know what to expect. Now that Phishy has been adopted, I’m ready to find my own forever home. I’m a lovable 7-year-old Lab mix boy who walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. I’m more than willing to please and I really enjoy attention. I use the doggie door and it appears I’m housetrained. I’m a sociable lad and I might even like a companion to play with. If you’re an affectionate person, looking for an addition to your family, and have an abundance of love to offer, please make an appointment to meet me. Any and all affection you lavish upon me will be reciprocated. That’s a promise!

Hi… my name is Peri,

Adopted 10-3-20

I’m a medium-size female shepherd mix whose foster Dad sings my praises! Here are some of the beautiful things he told me to share with you: “Peri has a sweet, affectionate personality, is smart and well behaved in the house, and she sleeps in her own bed next to mine. She likes my cats, but they refused her invitation to play. She walks well on leash and responds to ‘leave it!’ when she starts to bark at another dog. I’ve been able to leave her by herself for a while and she’s fine (and so is the house) when I return. Peri’s wonderful!” I would add that I love playing fetch with my ball, car rides, and hiking in Madera Canyon. If you want an active, loving companion, I’ll make you “peri” happy!

Hi… my name is Bowie,

Adopted 8-17-20

Sometimes I’m shy at first. That usually lasts about 10 seconds and then I can’t resist you! I’m an inquisitive girl who loves people, so pretty quickly I’ll try to be your friend. I’m young (born in late 2017) and still need some training on the leash, but here’s my secret advantage: I’m what people call “smart.” Since I want to please you, I love to learn. My previous person didn’t have time or money to take care of me, but she loved me and wanted me to be happy, so I’m here—ready to be adopted by someone who wants an active, fun-loving, good-looking dog. As she said, I have a cuddly personality. So how about we see what you think? If I can make you smile, maybe we’re made for each other!

Hi… my name is Neiko,

Adopted 12-31-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

You could tell when I arrived that my mom’s health had prevented her from caring for me as my coat was matted to the skin. I had to be totally shaved, but my lovely coat is growing out nicely now and my beauty is evident more each day. I’m a sweet little lady and mom’s daughter said I’ve always been a “meeter and greeter,” so you know I love people. I’ve lived with my feline friend, Timon, and we got along really well, but he already found a new home, so now it’s just little (really!) old me. At 15, I have Vet Care Support for Life, so why not add a new love to your life?

Hi… my name is Cassie,

Adopted 5-11-21

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

As everyone knows, live long enough and you eventually develop something, and in my case, at 13, it was hyperthyroidism. No big deal though – all it takes is daily medication to control it (I have vet care support that will pay for it). I lived with mom all my life, but when she couldn’t give me the care I needed, everyone agreed a new home needed to be found. I’ve always been a loving, playful, and quickly interactive lady (with people, NOT other cats!), so if you give me little gel on the inside of my ear once a day, I’ll give you all the love I’m itching to share!
