Hi… my name is Taffy (aka Sandy),

Adopted 2-26-20

Note: Bio needs update

I once belonged to a homeless woman, but she left me with someone else. That person left me outside all day. Then, a kind family took me home and after some time, I became comfortable with them. I was gentle and tolerant with the kids (ages 6 and 15), although scared of small children and other dogs. They loved me for being “VERY sweet,” but staying alone in a crate all day worried me a lot. So here I am—a cute 3-year-old female, who’s still scared sometimes, but loves to cuddle! Thanks to my little size—16 pounds—I could fit perfectly on your lap or by your side, and I’d be so thrilled to have your love and attention. And when would I try to make you happy? Each and every day!

Hi… my name is Lilly,

Adopted 4-4-20

Lilly comes with Free Vet Care for Life.

If you’re looking for a constant companion, that’s my specialty! I was exactly that to my recently deceased human mom and my brother (who, they couldn’t find when they brought me here – but I still have hope he’ll turn up!). Although I’m shy at first, I’m affectionate and loving when I get to know you, and I really bond with older people after we’re together. I’m a lovely lady (especially if you’re one of the many classic tabby fans!) with soft “chinchilla” fur, and I come with Vet Care Support for Life ‘cause I’m 14 and also FeLV-positive, so if you have a peaceful abode that you’d like to share, please think of me first!

Hi… my name is Rosa,

Adopted 11-30-20

Lots of personality boxes got checked when my mom relinquished me – ranging from “independent” to “meeter and greeter” – so take your choice! She also said that I love to sit on you when you’re in bed and that I pretty much “owned” the house (except when the new dog arrived – then I stayed upstairs!). Right now, I’ve got bladder stones, but in many cases they may be tiny and pass without notice, and in others a special diet will improve the issue (and TALGV will provide my food and cover bladder-related vet costs, if any!). I’m a loving, declawed lady who hopes there’ll be a kind soul out there who’ll help me get over this “health hump” and back to being my old self.

Hi… my name is Chato,

Adopted 2-27-20

I was adopted 2 years ago after I lost my left hind leg in an automobile accident in Mexico. Don’t be concerned; I get   along very well without it. My Mom brought me back to TALGV because our family and home situations have changed, and it is impossible for her to keep me. I’m a sweet, affectionate, and handsome 4-year-old male Boxer mix. I know the commands “stay,” “leave it,” and “wait.” I walk well on a leash, know how to use the doggy door, have good house manners, and I don’t bark without good reason. I love people and love to play; I don’t love cats. Please come in and visit, and if you are looking for that special dog like me, why not just adopt ME?

Hi… my name is Cici,

Adopted 4-27-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

“We rescued her after she was abandoned near a hotel and ended up in a business complex, but from the start, she’s been a loving, adorable PEOPLE ONLY cat! She meows longingly for attention, like the sweetheart she is, and we loved her.” Sadly, my people had to move to a home that didn’t allow cats, so although the dogs got to move with them, I didn’t, and I’d be ever so thankful for a new family to call my own. I’m FIV-positive (with Vet Care Support for Life) so should probably be an only cat anyway, so if you’re looking for one fun, furry feline, that’d be me! So, c’mon, let’s schmooze a bit!

Hi… my name is Nalla (aka Prickly Pear),

Adopted 3-20-20

Wouldn’t you love a beautiful girl with an almost golden palomino colored coat, big ears, and gorgeous eyes? My owner did until her health situation changed and I had to come back to TALGV with my brother, Ryder. I’m a laid back young lady who lays around with my feet daintily crossed…I’m moderately active. I’m fairly relaxed in this new place, and I don’t bark very much. I’m just curious about the world around me. They say I’m skittish and anxious, but I think maybe I’m just lacking confidence. Having another confident dog around would help me face things in life that I have not been exposed to. I would love to have a furever home, probably with a companion, where I can learn all the fun parts about being a family. Won’t you come and meet me?

Hi… my name is Angel,

Adopted 4-23-20

I like making new people friends. In fact, I’ve left home on my own and gone looking for people. After several such adventures while my former owner was busy working, she surrendered me to TALGV. When you visit me here, you can expect a seriously enthusiastic greeting. I’ll happily return your attention when you run your hands over my beautiful silvery gray coat. And If my coat doesn’t catch your attention, then check out my four little white sox. I’d love to have a family to play with, and possibly another dog, although I can be selective (picky?) about the dogs I like. And since I am still a young guy, about one year old, I’d love to learn new things with you. I hope the forever home out there that needs all the love I have to give is yours!

Hi… my name is Ricky,

Adopted 5-6-20

All cats are distinctive in their own ways, but with my polydactyl paws, I’ve got an extra special something for you. In case you’re not familiar with the feature, I have additional toes on my paws – think “Why, grandma, what big paws you have!” “The better to pet you with, my dear!” – and I promise that’ll be my mantra once you take me home! I popped up one day in a garage in Tubac, and that’s all we know about me. I’m betting that with my sweet personality, handsome orange and white coat, and winning ways, you’ll think I’m the best thing since sliced bread and you’ll want to spend every waking hour with me!

Hi… my name is Butchie,

Adopted 7-4-20

Butchie comes with Vet Care Support for Life

My recent foster “moms” say I’m an excellent houseguest that loves to follow them around. I’m housetrained (when I want to go out, I sit by the door) and I’ve earned my AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate. Plus, I come with Vet Care Support for Life. Although I might prefer sleeping on your bed, I’m happy spending all night in my own bed or with my blanket on the couch. I enjoy sunbathing, lounging about, and a really good game of fetch. Instead of the desert, I prefer long walks around the neighborhood. I don’t pay much attention to other dogs, (despite my history of not getting along with them). If you’re moderately strong, want to share your time, love, couch, and an occasional carrot with an affectionate, well-rounded pal – I’m yours!

Adopted 2-25-20

Molly is a sweet 55-pound, 8-year-old female Staffie mix that was raised from a puppy until owner recently died. She is healthy, is spayed, and shots are up to date (medical records available). She is crate trained and asks to go out. She gets along with another dog and was raised with four children; cats are unknown. Molly knows sit, stays off furniture, and does not chew. She likes belly rubs, car rides, and hikes. Molly would be a wonderful companion for family with medium activity level.

There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome this special girl into a loving home as part of your family, please call Andrea between 9 AM and 7 PM at 520-307-9481.
