Hi… my name is Maddy,

Adopted 8-30-19

“She is the sweetest dog I have ever seen.” Those words came from the kind woman who found me hiding in a bush—a very scared and hungry puppy. Happy to be safe and well fed at her home, I got along with her dog and two cats, was gentle and tolerant with a young teenager, and she wanted to keep me, but her busy work schedule didn’t allow enough time. I’m only 6-1/2 months old, appear to be a husky/shepherd mix, and need some help learning to be with people. Oh, I’m friendly and enjoy human company, but I’m still shy. A leash is new to me, and no doubt there’s lots more for me to learn. So if you have time for a beautiful, gentle, young dog, please let it be me.

Hi… my name is Kimber,

Adopted 9-26-19

I might be an Aussie Cattle Dog, but folks say I’m pretty as a fox. My coat is red, my body lean, and just look at my face: I’m one foxy lady! I’m shy and a little wary but not sly or contrary. I was found limping along the highway with a bad leg. TALGV discovered that I’d had surgery to repair a fracture, and now I can follow doctor’s orders to get my rest. But that doesn’t stop me from enjoying my walks. I’m good on leash and don’t bark at other dogs. With all I’ve been through in my young life, you can understand my initial shyness. Once I get to know you, you’ll see my tail wagging, my eyes gazing up at you, and hear my heart asking, “Can I come home with you?”

Hi… my name is Canoa,

Adopted 9-21-19

You know the saying, “It takes a village,” well, in my case it took the coordinated efforts of dog and cat volunteers and neighborhood good Samaritans to rescue me from the streets. It’s pretty obvious that I’d led a peripatetic life, since at about three years old I still hadn’t been neutered. OK, from a guy’s viewpoint, it might have been fun “catting around,” but I’ve gotten that out of my system (literally!) and adding to the cat population is a thing of the past for me. Bottom line though, is that I really do enjoy people and am looking forward to a new life as an indoor-only guy. I’ll bet with you would be superb!

Hi… my name is Bonnie,

Adopted 4-26-20

The Animal League estimates I turned a year old in March, but I really act about seven months old. I’ve been with my foster family for three months, so it feels safe for me to be a puppy. Some of the things I love: Walks and runs, car rides, food, and sleeping on pillows. I like to be where my people are and often follow my foster family around the house. I get along really well and play hard with my foster brother, a 72-pound German shepherd mix. I’m good with other dogs when we walk, but I don’t know how I feel about girl dogs. I am a sweet, energetic girl; I know basic commands; and I’m eager to learn more. Oh, you are probably wondering… yes, my ear is always floppy like this.

Hi… my name is Kimo,

Adopted 8-11-19

When your mom says, “Very loving, likes to cuddle, gets along with all types of animals and people of all ages,” you know it was a tearful day for her when she had to relinquish me and my housemates, Beauregard and Hattie Mae. Divorce is never pretty, but when it involves losing cherished pets, it’s even harder (on both humans and animals). She would have taken us all in a heartbeat, but she had to move out of state to a place that didn’t allow pets (I think those places should be outlawed!). I’m a 2-year-old longhaired orange and white boy, and if all those attributes have gotten your attention, come meet me – you’ll be wowed!

Hi… my name is Drifter Baby,

Adopted 9-14-19

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life.

“She was left in a box as a kitten in a Utah snowstorm. My friend picked her out for me and she’s always been gentle, loving, and tolerant, having been dragged around and dressed up in costumes by toddlers when she was young. She likes to sit in the sun and find hidden spots to nap. She was raised like a dog (“Puppykat” is her nickname), and comes to her name or a whistle. I LOVE HER TO THE MOON!” Sadly, my mom’s deteriorating health forced her to relinquish me, but I have high hopes there’ll be someone else who’ll give this senior lady (with vet care support for life) my own shot at the moon!
