Hi… my name is Butternut,

Adopted 8-5-19

They say “any port in the storm” and that’s sure true for me ‘cause I chose a DOG HOUSE to give birth to my six kittens (happily, it was unoccupied at the time)! The kind homeowner was good enough to let us use it for a while, but even though we were protected from the elements, we needed lots more TLC, so we went to a foster mom ‘til my babies were ready for adoption. Well, now it’s MY turn to shine, and that I do in spades. I’m a petite, affectionate 2-year-old girl who’s ever so ready to have my own home, and in my catnaps I’m dreaming it’s right around the corner!

Hi… my name is Maxine,

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

Maybe “Squeaks” would’ve been a more apt name for me since that’s pretty much what you hear when I meow! I’m so unhappy right now ‘cause after my mom died there was no one to take me in, and I do so love the company of people. All you need to do is talk in gentle tones (I know my name, so maybe stick with that!), give me a few head and chin scratches, and I’ll be yours (they say I’m “easy”!). As a 10-year-old, I have free vet care (not that I have any health problems except that I’m awfully lonely!), so won’t you fill my days with love and make that loneliness disappear?

Hi… my name is Jazzy Star,

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

You’d think that ”quiet/laid back” and “bold/outgoing” wouldn’t go hand in hand, but that’s what my mom said, and she’d know! I guess it means that sometimes I’m hunkered down and napping and sometimes I’m up for playtime – not such a stretch for a cat really. Mom’s health hasn’t been great, and since I’m such a big guy (who needs serious “food intervention”), she wasn’t able to care for me any longer. She said I’m loving (most of the time), enjoy games, toys, and get along okay with small dogs, but not cats. At 11, I have free vet care for life, so won’t you give this Maine Coon gentleman a new lease on life?

Hi… my name is Emily,

Adopted 6-9-19

I was left behind at a dog park, but I wasn’t alone. A kind person was watching all day and when no one came for me, she took me home that night. She said I was a bit shy but warmed up quickly, and preferred to be with someone rather than left alone. I have a nice disposition, she said; got along with her dogs and rode well in the car. She trimmed my long nails, and then brought me here, where I’ve enjoyed regular walks (I’ve been good on leash) and quiet times with gentle friends. A medium size female, born in 2010 and probably a shepherd mix, I’m still shy sometimes but always hopeful. Someone will see what a good, mature, loving dog I am and will take me home for good.
