Hi… my name is Charley (aka Charlotte),

Adopted 5-19-19

First, in my case Charley is short for Charlotte. I’m a girl Charley—a high-spirited, loves-your-attention female who looks like a Lab/Whippet mix. My former person said I needed a more active home, one with lots of room to run and play, and that sounds great to me! She also said I “ask” to go outside (no accidents since early puppyhood), and understand sit, come, stay, and down. I’m called very smart and independent, so even more training could be fun for me. But you should know that other dogs scare me, and I’ve never been with children. What do I know and like? That’s easy—rides, peanut butter, and the active life. Born in 2017, slender and sweet, I’d love to bring my energy to your happy days, so let’s get together real soon!

Hi… my name is Arrow,

Adopted 5-13-19

I am roughly 9 months old, possibly part Hound/Beagle/Heeler mix with beige and white coloring. Some nice folks from Elephant Head found me wandering in the desert. They took me in overnight and then brought me to The Animal League. I liked playing with their dogs. The volunteers here have taken me on outings; the park is so much fun and the cool green grass is great to roll in! My pool is cool and refreshing; I love to chase the ball even if it goes in the water! I might be young but the trainers here are teaching me some doggie rules and manners; they say I am a quick learner. Let me be the “Arrow” that shoots into your life and heart ‘cause I have lots of love and kisses to give!

Hi… my name is Fuzzy,

Adopted 7-23-19

I’m not sure where my name originated (maybe I was a fuzzy kitten?), as my coat’s silky smooth now! And there’s a lot of it, ‘cause I’m a “big-boned girl,” but I’m pretty much all love (as long as you’re not picking me up — I’m a bit too big to enjoy that)! I’m a sweet, declawed Russian Blue who’s laid back and independent, but I adore having my head rubbed (like lots of cats – I don’t know why humans aren’t into that!). I’ve lived (and gotten along with) a dog in my former home, and although initially shy with strangers, I warm up quickly and become your best friend. Maybe I can be yours?

Hi… my name is Patrice,

Adopted 5-4-19

I was found out on a road, all alone, and very shy at first. Everyone here said that was understandable after such a scary experience. So they were gentle with me, and within just a few days of getting acquainted, I blossomed! Knowing I was safe, I became confident enough to start showing the real me: Energetic, smart, and eager to make friends. The volunteers say my beautiful coat is soft; they like petting me and I love that kind of affection. They also say I appear to be an Aussie mix, but at just 27 pounds (and already 2 years old), I’m a small-medium size—every pound packed with personality. If you could love a lively dog, who wants to get and give lots of attention, we may be made for each other!

Hi… my name is Piper,

Adopted 8-24-18

OK, no one likes a bully, but I’m really only that way when I’m not the alpha cat (dogs are fine though)! Well, the simple solution of course is to make me your “one and only” My mom said I require LOTS of attention and love to “knead on” my person, to snuggle and sleep next to you, and ADORE playing with a laser pointer. I’m shy with new people, but once you’re mine, well, Katie, bar the door! And of course in the looks department, I can pretty much claim top spot – with my long, silky white and orange coat (that’s the Turkish Van coming out), I’m a looker par excellence! With a bit of patience I’ll soon be the love of your life!

Hi… my name is Piper (aka Kits),

Adopted 9-21-19

Everyone loves a newborn, and I did, too, but when mine arrived, my family didn’t have enough time for me and felt I needed the chance to find a home where I’d be more “in the spotlight.” They said, “We named him Piper, but always call him “Kits” and that what he responds to. He LOVES attention and to be around other cats and dogs, is very vocal (he’ll tell you when he’s hungry or bored), is very energetic, and his favorite toys are hair ties. He’s the perfect cat if you need someone to talk to or play with – almost like a dog.” I sound perfect to me so what more could you want?
