Hi… my name is Gunther,

Adopted 9-11-19

After my people moved away and I couldn’t join them, I was sad. I’ve always been very loyal and loving to my family and to regular visitors, so being alone was tough. But it turns out other people can be my friends, too. My former family said that I’m housetrained, very intelligent and seemed to understand what they said (between you and me, that’s true—I did). I often will follow correction when spoken to, not when yelled at or scolded. That’s because although I’m kind of a big guy, my heart is tender. I’m even a little shy. For fun, I like to play, enjoy toys, and I’m very curious. And I know life can be great with people you love. So how about we meet and see if we can be great together!

Hi… my name is Baltazar,

Adopted 8-18-19

How’s this for disheartening: My family was moving and as they got ready to leave, they couldn’t find me, so took the dog, another cat, drove away, and LEFT ME IN THE HOUSE! Needless to say, my outlook on life was pretty dim after that, so I hope I’ll be forgiven for being fairly shy right now. But if you just pop your hand into whatever cubby I’m holed up in, I’ll ever so gladly snuggle up, purr, and tell you how much I’d like to go home with you. I’m a sweet, 6-year-old fellow who’d give his whiskers to be the cat of your dreams spending all my time right next to you!

Hi… my name is Bubbles,

A warm breeze, a soft bed, a loved one nearby—“these are a few of my favorite things.” Born in June 2008, I’m in my golden years, which means—among other things—I come with Free Vet Care for Life! And I still possess a dog’s gift for living in the moment. A walk—even inside the house—makes me happy, I love being petted, spending time on an enclosed porch, and fully admit to frequent napping. A few times I’ve been grouchy about putting on my leash and since my former people will be traveling, they didn’t want to leave me with someone else. So I need a new permanent home—a comfy place where I can quietly spend my golden days with someone to love forever. Could that wonderful someone be you?

Hi… my name is Rowdy,

Returned to previous owner 4-13-19

Back when I was a “too tiny puppy,” I was rescued from a puppy mill. My human mom and dad believed that’s why I’ve always been anxious and distrustful of people generally, but Mom and I developed a “deep and abiding love for each other,” (quoting her niece). For 8 years, I was happy as could be with Mom and Dad, and “they would never in a million years have given me up” if serious illness had not made it impossible for them to take care of me. As hard as it was to say goodbye, Mom said it gave her great peace of mind to know I’d be well cared for. And since she believed in me, I do too. Someone else will love lively, unique little me, and I’m hoping it’s you.

Hi… my name is Sophia,

Adopted 4-17-20

Wanna know the definition of perfect? Well, I’m going to say it would be a 4-year-old, uniquely colored, longhaired tortoiseshell lady who gets along with dogs! (I’ve never lived with kids or cats, but I’d give anything a try.) Sadly, my mom and dad went their separate ways to far corners of the country and neither of them could take me along, so although I’m pretty discombobulated at the moment, I’m sure with love and just a modicum of patience, I’ll be your dream kitty. I don’t think I ask much of life – just a caring home, yummy food (I’m not picky!), and you by my side. Sound like a plan? It does to me!

Hi… my name is Rocky,

Adopted 3-16-19

I hope I can be forgiven for being a bit anxious sometimes, ‘cause my family moved and left me outside with no food, water, or “fare thee well!” I’m not always that way though, as a kindhearted lady took me in and planned to keep me until her newly discovered cat allergies popped up. She said I was very gentle, gave a lot of licks and love, and liked to play fetch with a rubber band, so you know I’ve still got lots of living and playing to do (at 7 years old there’s still a long way to go!). I just know that everyone else’s loss is going to be your fortune when you make me yours!
