Hi… my name is Boots,

Adopted 3-28-19

When one of the kids I lived with developed an allergy to cats (and to hamsters – you don’t hear about that very often!), my feline housemate and I had to take our leave. I lived with two dogs too, and we got along fine, but mom said my absolute favorite was being with the children (ages 8, 12, and 16). She said I might be a smidge shy in a new home at first, but once I’m comfortable, I’ll be “all love”! She said I really adored sleeping with “my” kids and I miss that like the devil now that I can’t, so if you’re OK with a furry bed buddy, let’s share our dreams together!

Hi… my name is Jeckle,

Adopted 2-24-19

Being a Lab is fun! For me, it means I’m naturally a happy dog—a little lonely now that my brother has been adopted, but my turn will come. My former people described me as “very loyal, very gentle, very sweet and loveable.” They have lots of company, including grandkids 4 and older, and said I was always great with people. But now they have some health issues and so, after almost five years together—I was born in June 2014—I need someone new to love. And after living outdoors, I’m really looking forward to the comforts of life inside. Other fun things? Toys, playing, and exercise—I’m still an energetic guy. So if I promise to do my best to be a loyal, good-natured and friendly companion, may we go home together?

Hi… my name is Jolly,

Adopted 1-30-19

Whew! Did I ever dodge a bullet! A wonderful woman rescued me from a “kill” shelter just a day before my time was up because she KNEW with my personality, unusual looks (not too many all-white cats out there), and loving, playful ways, I’d make anyone a wonderful companion. Thank heavens there are people out there like that! She said I liked to sleep (and purr!) next to her, have a soft Siamese voice that tells you I’m happy, am very “respectful” with a mellow temperament, am great with other cats, and love hanging out and cuddling on the couch. With all those attributes, you know you can’t go wrong, so get ready to fall in love!

DUSTY is a beautiful, energetic, and affectionate 1-year-old, 43-pound terrier mix female that needs a new home since the pack has gotten too large. Dusty is in good health, is spayed, and shots are up to date (medical records available). She can be shy around strangers, but she loves people and should be easy to train since she is so eager to please. She is housebroken and gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children. Dusty is crate trained and walks well on leash. There is no adoption fee for this special girl.

If you would welcome Dusty into a loving home as part of your family, please call Pamela at 1-602-750-9909.

Hi… my name is Simba (aka Scorpio),

Adopted 3-15-19

I was adopted as an adorable little Shepherd mix male puppy, and now—because my former person moved and couldn’t take me with her—I’m back, still adorable but bigger. I’ve learned a few things along the way, too, (I’m leash trained, understand “sit” and “down”), and happily discovered how much I love to play, cuddle, and exercise. At the Animal League, I’ve also had the chance to spend time with children ages 8 and older, which helped me imagine how wonderful it will be when someone loves me forever. My dream life includes that someone, who’ll spend time with me for active fun, learning, plus gentle moments together. If that could be you—if your heart will open up and let me in—I’ll always try to make you glad you chose me.

PS Yes, that little pup in the photos is me!

Hi… my name is James,

Adopted with Amera 2-24-19

My sister, Amera, and I lived with lots of other cats, dogs, and toddlers all our lives, but our home finally got just too “pet crowded,” and since we were the most outgoing of the tribe, our family decided it would be easier for us to steal hearts and find new homes. Dad said, “James likes to be held and sit in your lap. He LOVES toddlers (he deals well with their ‘abuse’!), and purrs all the time. He has a great personality, knows his name and usually comes when called. He likes to sleep next to my pillow or by the baby’s feet.” So many things I do well – can I do them for you (maybe even with Amera)?
