There seem to be an awful lot of young feline mothers around this time of year, but that’s “nature’s way” when you haven’t been spayed! Happily, my friend, Algonquin, and I (along with our broods) were brought to TALGV and that item has been “taken care of,” so I’m way past ready to be the friendly and affectionate homebody nature really intended! I’m a classic 2-year-old tabby, and having undoubtedly contributed more than my share to the cat population, right now I simply want the chance to “just be me!” I promise I’ll never look back longingly at my “free and easy” days if you’ll give me a place in your home and heart!

Stargazing can be all kinds of fun, but that’s not what my friend Aquarius and I were doing when found near the Whipple Observatory. We were lost—scared and hungry. Once here, though, we quickly made friends and now Aquarius has a home of her own. That leaves me alone, but maybe not for long. I’m a very loving dog, who thrives on giving and receiving attention. A 1-year-old Hound/Lab mix female, I’m naturally responsive to the person I’m with and already fairly good on a leash. When spending time with a senior citizen, I was good with her and with boys ages 8 through 13. Seems like I’d fit well into lots of different households, including the active and fun loving. So what do you say? Could we share a happy future together?

I really wish l could have been a more adaptable guy, ‘cuz I couldn’t get along with my dog and cat housemates, so my people decided that I’d be a much happier camper in a one-pet home. But when it’s just me? WELL…! I love to play with toys (I’m only 2 years old, so that’s no big surprise!), love laps, and am super affectionate. And that’s even BEFORE you get to my looks — my gorgeous silky white fur, flamepoint Siamese markings, and sea blue (slightly crossed!) eyes will enchant you even more! If you’ve got a pet-empty house and a lap that need filling, guess who was ready-made to fill that bill!

This year I had a wonderful vacation—a stay with my foster mom and dad. We had a great time being together. They called me gorgeous and puppy-soft, and frequently brushed my coat, which I loved. (They brushed my teeth, too, which was, well, okay.) I’m also a big fan of exercise; going on walks with them was a daily treat. Foster mom noted that I wasn’t always friendly around strangers or other dogs, but I listened to her well and responded quickly to commands. (They called me smart!) In their yard, which has a 5-foot wall, I didn’t try to get out, and inside, I showed that I’m kennel- and house-trained. Being in a happy, loving home was a dream come true. Would you give me a chance to be in yours forever?
