As an active, playful 1-year-old, I know how to have fun. On the other hand (or paw), I also know what it is to be scared and lonely. I was lost, and that was no fun at all. Fortunately, a kind man rescued me, but he already had dogs at home. Then I was adopted by a senior couple; they called me “a great dog,” and noted that I’m housebroken, which people really appreciate, but said I was too young and strong for them. So now I’m here, making new friends, training (which is fun, too), and watching people go by, wondering if that’s the person who’ll love me. I just know you’re out there—enjoying an active, good life, and looking for the right dog to share it. Please let it be me!

Buddy is housebroken, asks to go out, and he walks well on leash. He obeys well and knows sit, shake, wait, and go. He is healthy, has been neutered, has a chip, and is up to date with shots (medical records available). Buddy loves to play and a large yard is desirable. He prefers women. There is no adoption fee for this special dog.

Indeed, you know how dogs love having a job? When our person moved and didn’t have room for dogs anymore, I didn’t have to be alone because I’m with Socks! She’s my best canine buddy and in her very sweet way, she looks out for me. (I like to think I taught her everything she knows, but that’s a secret.) In appearance, we’re rather different. I’m smaller and older—a 22-pound, 13-1/2-year-old, black and white Rat Terrier male, and Socks is a beautiful 78-pound, 7-year-old, tan and white Labrador mix female. We’re both housebroken, accustomed to sharing our lives with people, and tend to be calm and gentle, enjoying a peaceful way of life.
