Animal League News

Hi… my name is Tina,

Adopted with Mai 6-29-25

What do you do when your human dies and no one in the family can take you? You come to The Animal League to meet your new human(s)! And that’s just what I’m doing. In my previous home, I was very sweet with people. I’m friendly and come to volunteers to be petted and brushed. In my previous home, I got along fine with dogs but wasn’t particularly fond of other cats. However, I get along with other cats in my room here. You really need to meet me to decide if we’re a match. I’m beautiful, loving, and just waiting to meet you!

Hi… my name is Dex,

RAINBOW BRIDGE 7-18-25

Well, mom died and now I need a new home. The thing about me is, I’m BIG. I need a big bed and a big-hearted person to match up with. I am used to kids and other cats, and I’m affectionate yet independent. For the last seven years I slept with mom. I’m a little subdued as I get used to my new surroundings here, and I like to sleep on the floor in the catio where it’s nice and warm. The volunteers pay me attention but I don’t seek it.  Maybe I’m still in mourning. How about it, can you give me something to smile about?

Rex

Hi… my name is Rex,

Adopted 6-22-25

I’m a handsome shepherd mix with a stare so deep, you’ll wonder if I’m reading your soul or just thinking about bacon. I’m 2 years old, dog-friendly (play groups are my favorite!), and I appear to be good with respectful kids! Somehow, I ended up on my own, but instead of panicking, I did the sensible thing—I noticed a nice lady walking her dog and approached her for directions. Yep, a guy who asks for directions. Imagine that! If I were human, I’d be your neighbor who throws the best BBQs—grillin’, chillin’, having an impromptu game of ball, and passing out ice-cold… bowls of water. (C’mon, I’m a dog.) Looking for a laid-back, burger-flippin’, belly-scratch-lovin’ best bud? That’s me. Come meet me—I’m even better in person.

Hi… my name is Ghost (aka Kai),

Adopted by foster family 11-13-25

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

BOO! Did I scare you? No? Good—because I’m more sweetheart than spook. My name’s Ghost, and I’m quite possibly the world’s least scary phantom. I’m living in a foster home now, where I’ve earned the title of “perfect houseguest.” I’m housetrained, leash-trained, loving, respectful, and even put myself to bed at night. I get along great with dogs, cats, and kids over five—basically everyone! I adore walks, snuggles, and being part of whatever’s going on. Life’s been good, but it would be even better with a forever family of my own. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, all-around wonderful companion who comes with Vet Care Support for Life, I promise to fill your home with laughter, love, and maybe a few friendly “boos.”

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Leo

Hi… my name is Leo,

Adopted 8-4-25

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Somehow at my time of life I found myself out on the streets. A nice person discovered me hiding under her porch, venturing out to search for food.  Not easy when your vision isn’t good, and mine isn’t. And I’m missing some teeth, so soft food is really what I need. I’m pretty sedate here at The Animal League, allowing petting, brushing and scratching. I’m just glad to be safe and get regular meals. I am FIV+, which means my immune system is weakened, but hey, it’s got me this far. I come with Vet Care Support for Life which will help with those bills. Why not come see if I can charm you?

Hi… my name is Flip Flop,

Adopted with Brainteaser

I arrived at The Animal League as a stray with my young son, Loafer. He has been cared for and is doing great. Now I’m hoping I can score an awesome gig as your next pet! I’m a little scared, as you can see from my photos, but I’m gradually beginning to see that humans aren’t all bad. They feed me and keep me safe, and I’ve allowed a tiny bit of touching. Can you be the one to provide me a quiet place where I can continue to blossom? Come to my room and look for me in one of the cubbies.

Hi… my name is Courageous,

Adopted 8-19-25

I came in with several other cats from an owner that could no longer care for us. They say I was playful and bold and liked petting. I’m OK with kids and other cats. My coat is very soft and on the light side for a torti. I have big ears and long legs. Here at The Animal League I have been hanging out by the door to appraise anyone coming in, so I’m not the “shy and retiring” type. I could be the “meeter and greeter” at your house! Why not come by and meet me to see if we click?

Hi… my name is Neptune,

Adopted 6-14-25

You don’t have to go “under the sea” to find a cheerful, loving, fun friend for your family because here I am! Like my namesake, I love playing in water, I’m very fast, and I have a beard (well, kinda). I am a sweet, playful boy with a big heart and kind eyes. I look smashing in a bow tie, and I’m currently in puppy school learning basic commands and how to walk well on a leash. My doggie family and I were found on our own, and we haven’t enjoyed as many of the comforts of home as some dogs our age. Let’s be friends; you can show me all the fun of having a home, and I’ll show you all the joy of being loved for life.
