Yep, “tortitude” is real! For anyone who’s been owned by a torti, you know that sometimes we can seem like we have split personalities–going from purring away in your lap one minute to suddenly racing around the house like a crazy kitten–but those of you who love us wouldn’t want us any other way! Someone once said, “The price you pay in ‘tortitude,’ you get back tenfold in love.” And that would be me! So the fact that my mom died recently is just contributing to my reticence at the moment, but I know that in a new home with a new life, I’ll demonstrate how easily you can be converted to a “tortiholic” (in case you aren’t already there)!

There’s no nice way to say this: My brothers and sisters and I were dumped. We were left out in the cold and filth with only each other for comfort, lucky to get food from a kind stranger. I don’t want to think what might have happened if TALGV hadn’t come to our rescue. Thankfully, the vet who examined us said we are remarkably healthy. Also, the volunteers think I probably had some okay human interaction before being abandoned because I’m comfortable with humans. I’m a 4-1/2-year-old Chihuahua mix male, brown and sable, long and small at just 12 pounds. Imagine how grateful I’ll be for a comfy, carefree home with someone who’ll love and care for me forever. I’ll be the best little companion you could want! Won’t you take me home today?

There’s no nice way to say this: My siblings and I were dumped—left out in the cold and filth with only each other for comfort, lucky to get food from a stranger. Thankfully, TALGV rescued us, and the vet said we’re remarkably healthy. My right eye had to be removed, but that’s healed now, and though still shy, I’ve made new friends. I’m an adorable 3-year-old Chihuahua mix female, chocolate and white, just 9 pounds. In our foster home, I live with Jingle, a sweet 4-1/2-year-old Chihuahua male, who’s very dear to me and so we need to be adopted together.
