Animal League News

Hi… my name is Chickasaw,

Adopted 12-10-23

My early life is a mystery.  I appeared at a nice woman’s home but she had dogs and couldn’t keep me.  I was a mama cat with five kittens so I guess it was a lot to ask!  We were all brought to The Animal League and that has been a blessing.  We are all safe now.  I like my padded cat bed.  I’m a petite girl with tabby stripes and a white throat and feet.  I don’t mind being picked up and held by the volunteers.  I’m ready for affection.  Would you happen to have a good home for me?  I’m young and have many years ahead of me to be your loving companion.

Hi… my name is Dolby,

Adopted 1-25-24

What if the rainbow’s end is just around the bend, and it’s a pot full of gold in the form of my own human? Being born in March (although not Irish!) I believe in rainbows with good fortune.  I was found by a human couple who kept me for several months. In their home, I got along with their large dog and other cats, but I was not around children. I was very affectionate and loved being hugged by my humans.  I loved to play with the other cats. However, at The Animal League I’m timid and shy. Hopefully, my next human(s) will give me time to feel comfortable in my new home. Perhaps that’s you?

Hi… my name is Itsy,

RAINBOW BRIDGE 11-14-23

Since my human could not take me and my two feline companions with him to New York, he brought us to The Animal League where we are awaiting our new home(s). The kind volunteers care for me, assuring me that a new home awaits me. Could that be yours? I’m not exactly “itsy-bitsy” anymore since I like to snack, but if you provide me with a balanced diet, I promise to cooperate. I’m not sure whether I like children or dogs. True to my feline, female nature I like to receive attention on my own terms. However, I do like to be petted when I’m ready. Please come meet me and let’s see if we are a “purr-fect” match.

Hi… my name is Guardian,

Adopted 9-8-23

Not every kitten gets their own biography, but I have a special tale to tell. Listen up! My rescuer said, “I came home and found this kitten next to my garage door alerting me to a rattlesnake as I was stepping out of my vehicle. I was able to kill the snake thanks to her alertness.”  How’s that for brave and courageous and alert to danger? Unfortunately, my rescuer could not keep me, but he brought me to The Animal League where the volunteers named me Guardian. How appropriate.  If you want a darling little girl who is attentive and observant, I’m your girl! I am all things “kitten,” and I would love to become your guardian.

Hi… my name is Neil Purr,

Adopted 9-6-23

How do you suppose I got my name? From my comforting purr? Why don’t you come in to find out? I’m a handsome guy who lost my home when my human mom died. I lived most of my life with her and the pet dog. I was tolerant of children. I have always been somewhat shy around strangers and independent. I like to play with hair bands but no “wild” toys. I prefer my canned food in the morning and the dry kibble in the afternoon. I guess you’d say that I’m a feline whose wishes have been accommodated. Would you like to continue that tradition? Sounds promising to me! Let’s talk about it!

Hi… my name is Linger,

Adopted 3-15-24

I might have known that I could be left behind since I was a member of the Procrastination Litter. We were found in the neighbor’s backyard while she was away for the summer. Our rescuer brought us to The Animal League where most of us have now been adopted. Here I am waiting to find my own human to love and care for me. And what will I do for you in return? I won’t “linger“ to give you my affection! How’s that for a deal? I have handsome black and grey tabby markings. My grey eyes show you affection and contentment. I love to play, as well as cuddle. Please come meet me. We could become best buddies!
