Hi… my name is Bronson,

Adopted 2-3-21

When I encountered several javelinas in Amado, I took refuge in a nearby yard. Since I’ve been here at TALGV, I’ve become quite popular, mainly because I’m so friendly, patient and good natured. I know how to sit when told and I can use a doggie door. I may be strong, but I do walk well on a leash. Since I recently demonstrated my climbing ability, I will need an enclosure from which I can’t escape. If you aren’t familiar with my breed, I can tell you that I’m playful, endearing, comical, sometimes stubborn, mischievous, but ALWAYS devoted. I actually thrive on affection and exercise. I’m known as the “ultimate personality breed.” I’m inviting you to be my guest at a “meet and greet” where we can get to know each other. Please accept my invitation!

Hi… my name is Kuro,

Adopted 2-11-21

“She’s very playful, loving on her terms, and will sleep with you and cuddle when she feels like it. She’ll keep an eye on you like a guardian, is perceptive to people’s emotions, and helps people she likes on a bad day.” And to sweeten the pot, I get along with dogs should you have one (a Chihuahua and a pit bull – so all sizes!). I do have a tendency to scratch things, but I’ll bet a nice tall sisal-wrapped cat tree would redirect those inclinations in no time. Since I’m still a youngster, boredom can set in quickly, so I’m hoping there will be lots of distracting playthings (people included!) in my future!

Hi… my name is Henry,

Adopted with Bear 1-30-21

Comes with Free Vet Care Support for Life

My previous family thought they didn’t have enough time to give my pal Bear and me all the attention we deserve. Now we’re both here at TALGV, needing a new home and family. I’m a 13-year-old male Cattle Dog who comes with free Vet Care Support for Life. I’m housebroken, ask to go out or I can use a doggie door. I’m leash trained and know the commands “sit” and “come.” I’m mostly shy but I love children of all ages and get along well with other dogs. I would probably be more afraid of cats than the cat would be of me. Bear and I are quite bonded and really want to be adopted together. Please make an appointment to meet us and see how well we would complete your family.

Hi… my name is Zoey,

Transferred to Pug Rescue Group with Purdita 1-26-21

Purdita and I are littermates and have always been together. She is blind and I guess you can call me her seeing-eye dog. We like to play together—and with our people!—and I help her find her way around. When our mom could no longer keep us, she said to make sure to tell you that we’ve gotten along with children of all ages and that we seem to love everyone. Both of us are cuddle-bugs–but then, what else would you expect from a couple of Pugs? We know commands like “come,” “sit,” and “stay,” but we never quite mastered how to tell you when we need to go outside. We are kennel-trained, though (and won’t go in there!) and as long as we get to go outside regularly, we’re okay.

Hi… my name is Panther,

Adopted 2-20-21

When I arrived at TALGV, I was fearful of everything. With time and patience, I gradually came out of my shell. Now I feel more comfortable and trusting. When I go for walks, I’m a different girl. I walk extremely well. I’m a shadow, alert and attentive to my walker. I get in and out of cars with ease and I’m not fearful while riding. My trainer said I was curious, but not reactive to other people and dogs. I have recently been in foster and I’m doing well with my crate training and ask to go out. I know a few commands like “sit” and “off.” I’m an affectionate “love bug,” and if you’re willing to give me the love, time and patience I need to adjust to YOU, I’ll love YOU forever!
