Hi… my name is Vannie,

Adopted 7-8-17

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

Moving day was also good-bye day for me and the people I’d lived with for many years. There just wasn’t room for all of us at their new place, which was sad, but I prefer to think of it this way: When it comes to being a great companion, I’ve earned lots of “know-how.” I’ve lived peacefully with other dogs and cats, I’m leash trained, and happily welcome affection—I love to be petted. You could say the past years have been a trial run for the forever home of my dreams, where I’ll play fetch, adore my person and cuddle with them every day. I’m a mainly tan, 22-pound Chihuahua mix male, 10-1/2 years old, which means I have FREE Vet Care for life. May I spend my happily ever after with you?

Hi… my name is Sherman,

Adopted 7-8-17

I was a lost dog no one knew. My rescuer saw me wandering a cul-de-sac and brought me here, where people started noticing the special things that make me who I am. First, I’m young—about 10 months old, and a nice size—28 pounds (slender and athletic looking). I’m probably a Shepherd mix, definitely a male, and—even when my ears perk up—a real handsome guy. Although shy at first, I let people pet me, and soon my confidence started to grow. I became the real me—friendly, sweet, and lively. I’m learning how to walk on a leash and other important stuff, but here’s a secret: I’m still a little lonely. I so much want to be the most special thing I can be: Somebody’s dog. Could you be my somebody?

Hi… my name is Stormy,

Adopted 7-22-17

If I could, I’d tell you a fascinating story about how I came to be lost, but I don’t know how it happened and it’s probably not a happy story anyway. Instead, I’ll say thank you to the man who rescued me from the street, and then put those sad days behind me. After all, I’m safe now—with people who liked me right away. From my first day here, they said, I’ve been friendly, sweet, and mellow, which is pretty cool for a dog just 2 years old. I’m a medium size female at 43 pounds, black with white feet and a stylish white marking from chin to chest. Best of all, I have the makings of a loyal, loving companion starting today until forever. Won’t you please say I can be yours?

Hi… my name is Dillard,

Rehomed with 4 friends 5-2-18

Sometimes well-meaning people bite off more than they can chew! That’s what happened with our mom when she took in a few stray cats, couldn’t afford medical care or to have them spayed and neutered, and ended up with a whole passel of us! Happily, TALGV’s Outreach Program came to the rescue, and here we are, sweet as pie albeit a bit shy at the moment, but all totally eager to find new homes and people to love. I’m a small black and white boy who loves people, gets along with other cats (obviously, since I lived with so many!), and I know that my life is going to be exactly the thing I’ve been dreaming of once I’m settled with you!

Happily, TALGV’s Outreach Program came to the rescue, and here we are, a bit shy but all totally eager to find new homes. I know that my life is going to be exactly the thing I’ve been dreaming of once I’m settled with a patient, caring, and understanding “cat person!”

Hi… my name is Lexi,

Adopted with Chico 8-15-17

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

My buddy Chico and I have been together since we were puppies. He’s a Lab mix male, and I’m a German Shepherd mix female, mainly black, 11 years old and 54 pounds. Our former people no longer have room for us, so we’re extra glad to have each other. I’m somewhat shy but becoming comfortable with the volunteers, and although our former family thought we might have trouble with small children, the young teenagers who help here at TALGV have become our great friends and walk partners. And we love all the comforts of living indoors for a change! Chico and I want to stay together, so please know we each have FREE Vet Care for Life, and offer two hearts full of gratitude and love if you’ll let us be family with you.

Arrived 6-20-17

Note: Lexie is available for adoption with her long-time companion, Chico.

Hi… my name is Squeaker,

Adopted with Cuddle Bug 9-3-17

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

Bet you never heard of a “seeing eye cat!” Well, that’s what my BFF, Cuddle Bug, is as I’ve lived with her all my life, and she’s my “guide cat” by making sure I get around okay (so we need to be adopted together). Not that I don’t get around on my own, mind you! All you have to do is walk into the room and I’ll come running up to you for attention (and LOTS of it!). I was born blind 14 years ago, so I really don’t know what I’m “missing;” all I know is that I love loving and I can promise that the two of us (both of whom come with free vet care), will enrich your life as much as you’ll do that for us!

Arrived 6-17-17

Note: Needs to be adopted with companion, Cuddle Bug.

Hi… my name is Mackie,

Adopted 6-29-17

Here’s a secret for you strays out there – hang around in someone’s yard long enough and you’re sure to be rescued (one way or another at least)! I was hoping to become part of the family whose yard I had staked out, but since that didn’t happen, the second best outcome for me was to come to TALGV. Age is always a guessing game with vagabonds like us, but they’re estimating I’m about 8 years old, so I’m a declawed lady pretty well settled in my ways and just want to have a lap to curl up in, ear scratches, two squares (and maybe a few treats!), and a safe home where outdoors will be something only enjoyed from a window. C’mon, I know you’ve got one, so why not share!
