Hi… my name is Dusk,

Adopted 4-21-17

My sister, Dawn, and I were rescued just in the nick of time! We were found on the side of Sahuarita Road—two little 7-pound, 2-month-old black Lab puppies, who didn’t know where to turn. But we’re safe now—the awful things that might have happened didn’t—and judging by the oohs and aahs from volunteers and visitors, we’re even popular! Of course, we’re still very young. Since you’re reading this, I’m guessing you already know the things that pups like me need to learn. My question is, could you be the one with the time and patience to teach me? I’m a male, a sweetie, who has lessons to learn and lots of fun to share. Maybe you can show me what it is to be loved, and to have a home forever!

My brother, Dusk, and I were rescued just in the nick of time! We were found on the side of Sahuarita road—two little 7-pound, 2-month-old black Lab puppies, who didn’t know where to turn. Hi… my name is Sunshine (aka Eva),

Adopted 5-22-17

Sunshine comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

I guess we all have to face the fact that as we age, “stuff” happens, so it seems to be something we all must deal with sooner or later. Both my mom and dad had health issues at the same time, so they just weren’t able to care for me or my housemate, Archie, any longer, and since I lived most of my 10 years with them, you can imagine I’ll be at sixes and sevens for a while. Given my quiet and loving nature though, I know it won’t take long for me to find a new soul mate to be the object of my affection. And at 10 years old, I come with free vet care for life, so that’s an added incentive!

Hi… my name is Raven,

Adopted with Annie 10-31-18

Are you a real dyed-in-the-wool cat person looking for a “challenge?” Well, have I got a deal for you! No one knows much about me at all except they say that my mom, who is now in memory care, “spoiled her cats” but apparently never petted me! I’m not quite sure how those two statements reconcile, but as you can imagine, I was a pretty shy 6-year-old until the volunteers started working with me. Now I love being petted (but like many cats, NOT being picked up!), so I know that with lots of patience, love, and understanding, I can be a “normal” girl and will have been a project well worth the undertaking.

Hi… my name is Aven,

Adopted 4-23-17

Aven comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

My former owner and I had some great years together, but now, due to health issues, she’s moving to an apartment where I can’t go, so here I am: A 13-year-old, 8 pound Schipperke female, looking for love again. I hope it helps that I’m adorable with lots of positive qualities (which I’m glad to mention), plus this comforting thing: I come with FREE vet care for life! And as for those good qualities: I’ve lived with and gotten along with cats (not everyone can say that), I’m leash trained, good in the house when you’re gone, not afraid of thunderstorms, and my former owner couldn’t think of a person or animal I didn’t get along with! And as for you, well, make me yours and I’ll cherish you always as my forever friend.

Hi… my name is Harley,

Adopted 9-21-17

When I was lost, I tried to help myself by greeting my finder when she arrived home that night. As she got out of her car, I walked up to her and did my best to be friendly. She described me as “very sweet.” The next day, the TALGV dog coordinator also described me as “very sweet.” (Must admit my intake sheet used two more words as well—“needs bath”—but we’ve taken care of that.) My finder had no idea where I belonged, but I do: I belong with someone who wants a dog who’s friendly and sweet, playful and happy, eager to be a loyal companion. I’m an 18-month-old black and white male, about 55 pounds, and if you say I can be yours, that’ll be the best news I’ve ever had!

Hi… my name is Molly,

Adopted 4-14-17

Dang! Everything was going just great in my life until my mom’s health got to the point where she needed to go into assisted living. I know she’s going to miss me (and my brother, Max) almost as much as I’m going to miss her, but I have high hopes that a similar life is in the cards for me. She adopted us when we were youngsters, and since it was just the three of us, we lived a peaceful, happy life. The transition from a quiet home to a, well, let’s just say “action-packed” shelter has left me a little shy at the moment, but that’ll pass when I have another person to love and there’s absolutely no reason it couldn’t be you!
