Animal League News

Hi… my name is Schnitzel,

Adopted with Jingles 5-5-25

My buddies and I were found outside, and after being fed awhile a nice person brought us to The Animal League. One of my buddies has already been adopted! I’m hoping my turn comes soon.  I’m a solid boy who likes lazing on the top perch of the cat tree in the catio. You can rouse me for petting and brushing but otherwise I’m pretty chill.  Maybe I’m just worn out after surviving outside!  My coat is black and white, and I have the cutest chubby black cheeks and mustache. How about coming to meet me to see if we can make a go of it?

Hi… my name is Amor,

Adopted 4-21-25

My family was moving across country and couldn’t take all of their pets—I drew the short straw along with one of the dogs, and I went to another home.  Once in that new home I misbehaved so I’m back here at The Animal League. I’d really like my luck to change now! I’m a friendly shorthaired girl that likes all the usual petting, scratching and brushing, but I will let you know when I’ve had enough. I also like to play. I’ll bet that if you come see me, we could make a connection and my life could start over. I’m young and look forward to having lots of time to be your companion.

Hi… my name is Duke,

Adopted 6-7-25

For my entire life, I’ve lived with my human whom I adored. When she had to move, she couldn’t take me with her. In her home, I got along with a dog for the past few months. Although I am DECLAWED, I played rough with children. I prefer adults in a quiet home. I’m a hefty guy who’s a grazer. A diet and exercise routine could help me. My favorite toys are cat mice with cat nip. I like to sleep on a bed or in the sink! I warm up to people slowly and like to be petted; otherwise, I’ve been called feisty. Why don’t you come meet me and see what YOU think!

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’m the kind of guy who is always cool. Have a cat? No problem. Have a dog? Also, no problem (and I might even try to be friends). Have a busy lifestyle? I’ll just sit at your feet and rest while you’re working. I’m an older gentleman who lost my mom a few months ago, so I’m looking for a nice home in which to spend my golden years. I don’t need much—a comfy place to lie, some affection, and some yummy treats will suit me just fine. I also come with Vet Care Support for Life, so I’m the total package. In return, I offer love, companionship, and all my loyalty. Want to spend our golden years together?

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

When you look in my eyes, do you see my happy heart? Trust me, it’s there! I’m a senior dog with lots to be happy about these days. When my former family thought I wouldn’t do well at their new home, I came to The Animal League, where volunteers—my new friends—immediately called me “very sweet.” They said I’d have Vet Care Support for Life, a big plus, and their kind attentions were wonderful. Then, something super-wonderful happened! A TALGV volunteer offered to foster me!  Now I’m peacefully living with other dogs and cats, eating well, enjoying walks, and Foster Mom reports I adore Foster Dad. (That’s true.) I’m a happy andgrateful dog who looks forward to every new day.  All I need now is a forever home. Could that be with you?

Hi… my name is Coco (aka Lola Belle),

Adopted 4-5-25

I am a pretty, sweet, medium sized dog with a beautiful, all-black coat. A nice lady took me in when my owners did not have time for me. Despite my age, she said I was good while in her house but that I need some help with potty training. She had other dogs and they showed me that life can be quite different from what I was used to. Even now I am most comfortable when I have a doggy companion who is confident around people. It helps me to come out of my shell to enjoy getting treats and being petted. Do you have a dog who could use some company and be my mentor? Then look no further and come to see me!  (8-2022)
