Animal League News

Hi… my name is Rella,

I’m a friendly, energetic young girl who was found wandering alone in Amado. It felt like my world disappeared, but TALGV has been helping me find my way to a brighter future. I’m learning the ropes, like walking nicely on a leash (though I get excited when I see other dogs!) and practicing my manners. With patience and training, I know I’ll become the loyal, well-mannered companion you’re looking for. I’m ready to find my forever family who will give me the love and guidance I need to thrive. Could you be the one to help me live my Happily Ever After?

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Tucker,

Adopted 12-31-24

I’m kind of a low-maintenance boy who has lived with several other cats just fine. I get along with humans, but I’m not sure about dogs. My human was moving out of state so here I am waiting to make your acquaintance. If you want a handsome tuxedo guy with a lovable personality, I’m yours! I have a high-pitched meow accenting my quiet demeanor. I’m friendly and adore being petted. I can easily be coaxed onto your lap or play with you. I’m a sweet boy who makes serious cookies/biscuits to show my appreciation for your attention. Please come meet me so we can go home together! We can become great pals!

Hi… my name is Nibbles,

I was found wandering in the neighborhood behind TJ Maxx. Do you suppose I was shopping? I doubt it. Most likely I was trying to find my human to take me home. Instead, my kind rescuer took me into her backyard to feed me and find my owner. My owner never showed up so here I am at The Animal League hoping to be adopted by my new human(s). Is that you? My black and white fur markings make me a beauty! Don’t you agree? I’m in need of a good home where I am safe to play and offer companionship. Remember: those we rescue, rescue us. I promise to be your best feline friend!

Hi… my name is Kitchie,

Adopted 12-28-24

I don’t want to go all Kumbaya, but my life turned upside down when my human who found me as a kitten had to move due to her ill health. I spent my entire life with her. We snuggled together for contentment. I was gentle and tolerant of children and lived with other cats but no dogs. I’m very easy-going and flexible, and I get along with everyone I meet. At first, I may be shy with strangers but given time, I warm up to people. My human said I’m loving and friendly. I’m missing a human companion. Won’t you please come meet me to see if I can go home with you? That would be great!

Hi… my name is Angel,

I’ll admit I’m not the friendliest feline you’ll ever meet, but I do have my good points. My human found me as a kitten, and we had several good years together. With her, I was friendly, loving and playful. I shared my human with several other cats but no dogs or children. All of us were brought to The Animal League when our human moved and couldn’t take us with her. Perhaps being left behind has made me a bit touchy. I don’t like being held. I’m not always calm when approached by a human. I need time to settle in to become yours. If you’re a patient cat- lover, I’d like to meet you!

Hi… my name is Scooter,

My life as a stray could be told by old fight wounds that have healed. How long have I been without a home? No one knows. Wandering in a neighborhood for several days, my rescuer knew I needed a home, so she brought me to The Animal League to be adopted. Wow! I was so scared but now realize the kind volunteers are caring for me in ways unfamiliar in my past. I like the meals served, the loving petting and conversations, and indoor safety. I’ll admit it: I’m scared but given time, I could become your best buddy. Are you willing to meet me? If you have a rescuer’s heart, I’m yours. When you love a cat, you are chosen over again each day for a lifetime!

Hi… my name is Triumph,

Adopted 1-4-25

Puppies are cute, easy to love and sometimes goofy.  I know because I’m surrounded by puppies! They’re my siblings! And there are more puppies at the Animal League, too. I hear them playing and sometimes I can smell them because, well, I’m a dog. Yes, I’m still little, with lots to learn, and needing a daily puppy portion of cuddling, playing, and reminders that I’m safe and loved. I’m Triumph, one of the Car litter boys, and old enough to meet people now. And if another puppy is your favorite, that’s okay. There are puppies here of different sizes, personalities, colors, genders, and we all need happy homes to grow up in. So, if you’re ready to add some puppy joy to your life, we’re here for you at The Animal League of Green Valley.
