NALA is a playful and energetic 4-year-old, 94-pound black Rottweiler female who needs a new home. She and her housemate are not getting along now. She is leash trained, crate trained, and house trained (asks to go out and will use doggy door). Nala is in good health, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. She knows commands come, sit, down, and time to eat. She does not like cats but is good with children of all ages. Nala loves to walk and play with her toys. Nala would prefer to be your only dog and she would love to be your new best friend.

There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Nala into a loving home as part of your family, please call Bob between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. at 520-429-1749.

Hi… my name is Blinky,

I’m a big loveable boy with white whiskers and white bib just below my chin. My person developed health issues. I miss him and hope he’s doing well. As for me, I’m still settling into the routines at The Animal League. Since I lived as an only pet, it’s been challenging to have so many roommates. I’m playful as a kitten and love to play with my toys. I have a social personality and will meet and greet visitors. As for my appetite, I’m not fussy – I eat everything! My fur was described as “like a labrador retriever!” so, I need regular brushing. Would you take me home and brush me?

Hi… my name is Coco (aka Maddie),

Adopted 11-14-25

Yes, I’m small, but I’m also young, so I like to do more than just sit on your lap. I love to play with my fellow four- and two-legged friends! I’m looking for a household with plenty of attention and treats. I am not keen on small children, but seem okay with older ones who know they need to leave my (absolutely stunning) ears alone! Cats make me nervous, and I’m probably a terrier, so I would need to be taught not to chase them, because that game is FUN! Don’t get me wrong—I’m a well-behaved sweetheart who goes outside to potty and walks great on a leash—but I am still looking for some adventure. If you want snuggles and play in a pint-sized package, I’m your girl!   (August 2025)

Hi… my name is Xena,

Some dogs charge into life like it’s a parade. Me? I’m a little more cautious with new things…and new people. When my family lost their home, I suddenly found myself at TALGV, unsure of who to trust or what would happen next. At first, I kept my distance, but a kind doggie roommate has helped me remember that the world can be gentle, too. With my days as a mother behind me, I now enjoy slow walks, soft beds, and quiet company. I don’t need excitement; I just want a safe place to rest my head and finally discover what it feels like to be cared for just for me. If you’re looking for more of a gentle soul vs. Warrior Princess, I may be perfect for you!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Rex

Hi… my name is Rex,

Adopted with Ricky 11-28-25

Ever been the new kid at school who doesn’t know where the lockers are or why everyone else has friends? That was me when I first arrived at TALGV. One minute I was alone in the desert, and the next I was in a big, busy place with walls, people, and routines. I was terrified and needed a few days to realize I was safe. I soon realized everyone here was nice. Volunteers showed up with patience and treats, and a friendly dog “classmate” moved in with me. I started to relax and show my real self—an eager-to-learn Shepherd who loves recess (playtime!). I am a strong walker on leash, and I appear to be housetrained. I’d love a home with another playful dog. I’m a gentle big boy… just hoping for my forever homeroom.
