I’m so glad there’s TALGV – a place where good dogs can go when they need a home. I’m one of those dogs; a 2-year-old black Lab mix male, whose rescuers could not keep me because they already had other dogs and cats. My good qualities include being loyal, loving, good-natured and eager to please. Must admit I’m not exactly a lap dog because I’m about 60 pounds, but if you’ll cuddle with me, you’ll make my day. I’ve been around cats, dogs and horses, so I’m generally critter-friendly, but I’m really hoping to make friends with a person who will give me my forever home. I have a big heart and always the best intentions, and if you have the same, we should take the happy trails together! Please come see me soon.

Hi… my name is Mookie,
Adopted December 13, 2015
There were lots of other dogs where I came from, and although we were welcome, there just wasn’t enough room for me, my sister, and dad. So we came to TALGV, where I’m learning lots of good things—like how to walk on a leash, and what great friends those critters called humans can be! And while playing and running are easy, I’m still slow to warm up to people. But please don’t let my shyness stand in our way. My biggest dream is to be wanted and loved. If you have room in your heart and home for me, I’ll thank you every day by being your sweet, loyal companion. I’m a 1-year old Beagle/Lab mix female, about 35 pounds; stunningly beautiful in black, white, and brown, and hoping to see you today.

For two waifs who were abandoned by their people, my friend (and maybe brother), Pewter, and I are downright relaxed felines! Our family left us in the yard when they moved away in mid-October, so the neighbors cared for us for a while, but when it became obvious no one was coming back for us, they brought us here to be sure we’d stay safe. I’m a charming 2-year-old black and white lady, in excellent health and am just as easygoing and affectionate as can be. Given our delightful personalities, it’s hard to see how anyone could have foregone our company, but that opens up a whole new world of possibilities for us and for you. The holidays are right around the corner, so let’s spend them together!

ROSCOE is cute and sweet 7-pound, 7-year-old Yorkie/Peke mix boy who needs a new home for economic reasons. He loves to walk, run, and play with his two tennis balls. Although he has lots of energy, Roscoe is crate trained and is very calm in the house. He has been neutered shots are up to date. Roscoe would be a great companion dog for someone who likes to have fun. He gets along with other dogs, but needs to be an only dog since he demands a lot of attention; older children would be okay. There is no adoption fee. If you would welcome Roscoe into a loving home as part of your family, please call Mary Ellen between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-603-4441.

I’ve been around the block a few times in my five years, but no one is really sure why. Apparently “way back when,” I didn’t do too well with the other pets and kids in the home, so I’ve been living with an “adults only” family for two years and am just fine with them. My mom had allergies, though, so those pesky things have precipitated yet another move for me. I simply adored my dad and loved playing with a laser toy, small balls, and cat toys. I’m not enamored of being “handled” but do enjoy “hanging” with you. I also like to drink water with my paw and am fascinated by speakerphone conversations, so I do have some singular charms! I’m a lustrous declawed lady just “looking for love”!

My friend, Jenny, and I were two lost Shepherds! Being together was better than being alone, but we were still lost and you know what that can mean for a dog—hunger, thirst, and very possibly danger. Fortunately, a kind stranger took us in and then brought us to TALGV. In that short time, she could tell that I’m a very loving and affectionate fellow. You can probably see it in my eyes; that sincere good-natured look is genuine! I’m black and tan with white markings, a Shepherd mix male, about 2 years old. Like most Shepherds, I’m eager to learn and really enjoy being close to my person, so we could have lots of great times together. If you agree, won’t you please tell TALGV that we want to meet each other real soon!
