Puppies are cute, easy to love and sometimes goofy. I know because I’m surrounded by puppies! They’re my siblings! And there are more puppies at the Animal League, too. I hear them playing and sometimes I can smell them because, well, I’m a dog. Yes, I’m still little, with lots to learn, and needing a daily puppy portion of cuddling, playing, and reminders that I’m safe and loved. I’m Packard, one of the Car litter boys, and old enough to meet people now. And if another puppy is your favorite, that’s okay. This Lancelot is looking for his Camelot! And I don’t mean a legendary castle and court. I mean a real home with humans who understand my personality. Just like the human Arthurian knight, I was orphaned. A kindhearted rescuer brought me into The Animal League. A better life is what I’m hoping for. Until that time, I’m hiding safely up atop a perch where I can look out the window or snuggled in a corner. I’m hesitant to let volunteers pet me or play with me, but I see they do with other cats in my room. So maybe I’ll try it. Who knows? Maybe that will allow my brave, heroic nature to shine.
