You might be surprised that a dog called Bear is also called “quite the charmer,” but that’s me! I happily displayed my quiet charm on a recent store outing with a TALGV volunteer, where I was calm and relaxed, friendly with everyone we met, and politely accepted attention from all ages. Getting in and out of the car worried me, but a tasty treat made it worthwhile. Here at TALGV, where I share my run with another dog, friends tell me I’m naturally sweet and loyal. I would add grateful. I know what it is to be lost—hungry, thirsty, and scared—and it’s thanks to my kind finder that I’m in this safe place now. Here I can dream of how wonderful a loving, forever home would be. Could mine be with you?

Why doesn’t every neighborhood welcome dogs? Three years ago my littermate and I were adopted as pups. Life was blissful and we were cherished members of a loving family. Unfortunately, circumstances changed and my family had to move to one of those places that doesn’t allow dogs. I’ve been through a couple of homes and now find myself needing another new one! That shouldn’t be a problem, based on my personality. I’m used to other animals. I love people and all the petting, brushing and scratching I can get. I have a long black coat so brushing is good for me. I’m a big lap boy who will purr my content. If you’re strong enough you can pick me up (did I say I was big?). At my age I’m pretty mellow most of the time, but I do like to play occasionally. Levi is a smart, loving, and energetic eighteen-month-old, 50-pound Husky male who needs a new home. He is good on leash and would appreciate daily long walks. He is crate trained and house trained. Levi responds to commands sit, down, and shake, and he is learning to wait, stay, and catch. He is neutered and in good health. He likes to play with his toys and chewing on his elk horn. Levi loves his humans and will stay close beside you, but other dogs, cats, and children are unknown.
