Hi… my name is Gilligan,

Adopted 4-28-25

I’m not sure how I got this name—at 19 pounds I’m no “little buddy.” I’m a big boy! Dad brought me here after I began fighting with my sibling, maybe because we lived in a small home and I needed my own space. Here at The Animal League I’ve been sleeping in a (big) cubby. I do like petting, brushing and scratching, and will play a little. Not sure about laps—maybe I’d be too big? Anyway, I’m looking for a new situation, preferably as an only cat. I’m willing to consider all comers—so do come on out and see what I have to offer.

Hi… my name is Solstice,

Adopted 6-25-24

My rescuer said that I was the cat with black satin fur and piercing green eyes who came to his door in search of a home. For several months he fed me outside, but I was never “home.” Bringing me to The Animal League was his kindest deed to allow me to get adopted into a home where I will have the companionship of humans. Surely, I had that before. I’m in good shape (a sturdy guy!) who currently is quietly observing life from the catio. I’m awaiting my next move into my carrier to go into a home where I will emerge, knowing it’s the right place for me! Is that your home? I hope so!

Hi… my name is Buddy,

Adopted 5-18-24

I was just a puppy when I was adopted from TALGV eight years ago. Since then, I’ve gained knowledge and experience. I respond well to “sit” and “lay down,” walk easily on a leash, and ride well in a car. I’m calm and have very good manners, even when left alone in the house (never outside). I need a secure yard to run in with a wall that’s over three feet high. I’m very friendly and love ear/head rubs and soft beds. I enjoy meeting people and get along well with other dogs. Cows, rabbits, and ducks don’t phase me, but I will chase lizards and scare away birds. Every family needs a buddy, and THIS Buddy needs a family. Please be mine!

Hi… my name is Smokey,

Adopted 4-15-24

When my human could no longer care for me, I arrived here with my Mom Gabby and sister Precious. After a rough start, when I was really scared, I’ve come around and like to have the volunteers pet and brush me. I tend to hang out with mom and sis on the floor under a cat tree. I’m a beautiful long-haired black boy with no tail.  That’s right, I’m a Manx. I have luminous round yellow eyes. I’m okay with dogs. My first priority is to find a nice home again, and if I could find a home with mom and/or sis that would be the icing on the cake. Come meet me!

Hi… my name is Beebo,

Adopted 7-8-24

Aren’t I pretty in pink? Well, the truth is, I’m effortlessly stunning regardless of any color palette I’m wearing. My nickname could be “bee-bop,” as that’s what I like to do in the comfort of my foster home, where I take pride in my refined manners such as being housetrained and only playing with my toys instead of any of my foster family’s belongings. As for more talent, Esther Williams has nothing on me as I will happily splash around in a play pool.
(Okay, so synchronized swimming might be a stretch, but my charm makes up for it!)
While initially reserved, I blossom into a sweet companion when given space to warm up to you. Contact TALGV to arrange a meeting and discover more about me!

Hi… my name is Blossom,

Adopted 3-29-24

Three little puppies. I should say we were three very scaredlittle puppies when my siblings and I were discovered in an unoccupied house. Thank goodness our finder brought us to TALGV, where my brother and sister have already found their new homes. Now it’s my turn! I’m a shepherd mix female with deep brown eyes and a beautiful black coat with touches of white. My favorite things? Belly rubs, play time, and the company of kind people and other friendly pups. I’ve been described as sweet and quiet by my friends, and I’m starting to learn what puppies need to know.  If you’re ready to give me the time, guidance and extra attention a growing pup needs, I’m ready to give you a lifetime of love and loyalty. Can we meet real soon?

Hi… my name is Maverick,

Adopted 4-21-24

Howdy everyone! I’m one of the newer residents of TALGV after being wrangled by some kind humans who found me out exploring the world on my own. They convinced me I’m too young to blaze my own trail and I would benefit greatly by finding a family to grow up with. So, here I am, waiting and hoping someone reads my bio and thinks to themselves, “Now that’s a fine-looking young man! We’d LOVE to have an energetic, four-legged companion join our family. We’ve got the time, dedication and love to give this handsome guy who is already a responsible member of dog society who likes other dogs – woo hoo! Let’s go get him!” That’s my hope! Is this what YOU are thinking when you read this and see my photos? Let’s meet SOON!

Hi… my name is Lilly (aka Stella),

Adopted 5-4-24

Due to lack of time and family obligations, my owner felt she couldn’t give me enough attention. I’m good when left at home alone, know the commands “sit,” “shake,” and “stay,” and ask to go out. I also know the different meanings of “love.” For example: I love watching TV, going for walks, playing ball, getting massages, and I especially love being close to my person. I’ve been fine with a visiting 4-year-old granddaughter. When it comes to meeting new canine friends, I may like most of them, but sometimes I’ll meet one that I don’t, then you can guide me in the right direction. Sorry, I really don’t like cats! Please come by and visit. I can be ready to go home in two shakes of a “dog’s” tail!
