“He truly has been an amazing dog!” That’s a quote from my foster mom. I got along well with the resident dogs, but unfortunately, not the cat! Otherwise, I might have made a good addition to the family. During meals I showed no food aggression and politely “sit” when served. I love playing a game of tug-of-war and with my chew toys. I have also been willing to share. I’m potty trained, use a doggy door, and sleep all night in my bed. Barking is not something I do a lot, unless I’m invited to join a “canine chorus,” then my bark would make any watch dog proud. I’m still a sweet, easy-going puppy at heart. I know you’ve heard the phrase, “get lucky,” well this Lucky is ready to get a new home, and if you’re ready to get lucky, I’m ready to go home!

I didn’t exactly live up to my name in my adopted home. I lived with humans who tried to reform my dominate behavior towards two younger female kittens adopted at the same time. Alas! I needed all the attention. I ate well but refused to share my food. I agree with the humans that said it might be best for me to be your only pet. I was friendly and curious but not necessarily interested in toys. Over-stimulation caused me to be nippy. I liked to sleep in my own cat bed. So, here’s the deal: adopt me and you get a great pet as long as you know I’m not yours—you’re all mine!

I’m a friendly and smart female German Shepherd who’s approximately 4-years-old. My “mom” could no longer care for me so I was boarded for a little over a month. While boarding I spent time with a variety of other dogs. At first I was unsure of meeting new dogs, but once comfortable I played well. A dog park may be difficult for me since I need to know who my playmates are. I love (non-edible) toys for tough-chewers and enjoy playing fetch. I walk well on a leash so an active person would be great, since I need exercise. Life has recently been chaotic, and I’m somewhat confused. If you’re a calm, patient and loving person who’d like to share your home and life with a faithful companion, I’m here!

Mom’s moving out of state, and my buddy Crackle and I aren’t going—waaah! Here we are looking for a new home. We are bonded so we need a home together. I’m shyer than my buddy and haven’t yet accepted my new situation gracefully. However, the volunteers can pet, scratch and brush me where I’m ensconced under a cat tree. This is my second time looking for a home, having been adopted from here as a kitten. I’m hoping that this time I can find a more long-term arrangement. Won’t you come look us up?
