Animal League News

Hi… my name is Cindy,

Adopted 9-23-23

I wouldn’t say my three pups and I could be considered special delivery, but we did arrive in a crate left outside TALGV, and we are special. At least that’s how we’ve been treated. One of my youngsters has already left for her forever home and it won’t be long before the other two get adopted. Then, of course, there’s me. I can’t wait to find my own forever home. I’m a 2-year-old Rottweiler and since I’ve had my last litter, I’m ready to enjoy the next stage of my life. I enjoy walks with the volunteers and not to brag, I’m pretty good! You might say I’m a mystery since nothing is known about my personal life. If you’re someone who enjoys mysteries, just think of the fun we can share solving mine!

Hi… my name is Oreo “Cookie” (aka Lotus),

Adopt with Taz 9-5-23

My brother, Taz, and I have been patient and gentle with the children who came to visit. Unfortunately, one of them became allergic to us. I’m a purebred Siberian Husky, not quite 2 years old. I’m house, crate, and leash trained. In fact, I walk very well, and I “sit” when told. With your patience, I’d like some further training to learn the rest of the basic commands. My brother and I are a “bonded” pair and need to stay together. We’re good together and always have been! Check out our baby pics online. Talk about cute! Mostly, we enjoy playing with each other and sometimes in “rough” play. Playing ball with our people is always a fun game. Are you game enough to take the “dynamic duo” into your heart and home?

PS Yes, those are my baby pictures at the end of the gallery.

Hi… my name is Buddy (aka Bam Bam),

Adopted 11-18-23

I was adopted shortly after arriving at TALGV as a puppy and went to live with another dog where I guess I was too playful. Since I lived mostly outdoors, I didn’t get much attention or training which are vital to all dogs. When I returned to TALGV, I was initially confused, shy,and even a little scared, but my volunteer friends are helping me adjust. My friends noticed I’m a very good boy who would love to live up to my name and become part of a loving family. Are you looking for a Buddy? Please come meet me and if you think we could be a good match, I’ll spend my entire life devoted to you.

PS Yes, those are my baby pictures at the end of the gallery.

Hi… my name is Hoshi,

Adopted 10-7-23

Do you know what I need?  A home of my own where I can perform on center stage! I am a star who performs solo. In my audience: adult humans, perhaps children and dogs, but definitely no other cats! My previous person brought me to The Animal League because I didn’t get along with her cat. I was only there two weeks. She said that I was sweet after I got adjusted, that I was extremely vocal and active, and that I liked to play fetch. If I got over-stimulated, I nipped. I liked to sleep in the living room. Would you like to adopt me before I head to Broadway? I would love you in my audience!

Hi… my name is Chico,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I was happy living with my dad, but he passed away after a few months in a nursing home. Luckily, I found a new home, this time with a mom, who took me for daily walks. Four months later she passed away. When I first arrived at TALGV I was scared, confused, and… sorry to admit… grumpy. Now I’m back to being my old self, the “real” me, who loves being loved! I’m great with other dogs, enjoy playing fetch and love to cuddle. I do come with Vet Care Support for Life. Now, as a 12-year-old, male chihuahua, I’m hoping I can find a loving person who would be happy sharing their life with me. My heart may have a murmur, but it also echoes a large abundance of love to share with YOU!

Hi… my name is Pongo,

Adopted 10-13-23

Sad it is to lose your person and your home in one fell swoop, but that is what happened to me when my person had to move into assisted living and couldn’t take me with her. We enjoyed a quiet life together. I’m a gentle Tuxedo cat with handsome markings. I love being petted and brushed. I’m quiet and laid back; yet I love attention. Do those qualities intrigue you to come meet me?  Please do! Although I’m not sure how I got the name Pongo, I understand he is a canine character in Disney’s “One Hundred and One Dalmatians.” I am soulful and serene and long to be happy just being with you. Let’s get acquainted!

Hi… my name is Artemis,

Adopted with Midnight 8-16-23

I was found in a neighborhood and a kind person brought me to The Animal League. I was named Artemis referring to the Greek Goddess of the Hunt. Since I’m a male, I may have been named for Artemus Gordon of “The Wild, Wild West” show.  Take your pick. Please come meet me because you are in for a treat! I’m a sleek, black cat with dancing eyes that just beg for attention! I am ever-so-friendly and talkative. Although I like to explore, I also like being held. Just a well-rounded lad who longs for my own home where I can be YOURS!  Please come meet me, and let’s see how we get along!

Hi… my name is Tabitha,

Adopted 8-19-23

On a steamy hot summer day, my siblings and I went from being lost to being lucky! We were 4-month-old puppies in need of help when we were found, thank goodness, and brought here. Today, I’m an active, happy puppy who loves company! I have my own collar and harness, and I’m in the process of learning how to go on walks, plus lots of other things good dogs should know. I’m also making friends with some other pups who are slightly bigger than me, but I can keep up! (I met some cats once, too, and they were scary.) If you’d like to add some happy puppy energy to your days and have the time and patience to continue teaching me important puppy lessons, I’d love to be your very own lucky dog.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Chantilly,

Adopted 2-20-25

I am a young mama to the “Lace Litter.” I gave birth to four kittens in an outside garden in Nogales, AZ. Only one of my kittens survived. We two were brought to The Animal League to be cared for. We have many volunteers showering us with caring attention, and we do so appreciate it! Due to my recent trauma as a stray parent, I’m somewhat hesitant to welcome strangers into my life. However, the kind volunteers are gradually bringing me out of my shell. I long for a loving home where I will be cared for. No more outside gardens for me!  Won’t you please come meet me? I’m a lovely, sleek young lady.
