Animal League News

Hi… my name is Shadow,

Adopted 5-27-23

I was found in Walmart’s busy parking lot, trying to make up my mind what to do next, when a good citizen decided I would be safer at TALGV. I was invited to stay, but after a couple of days, I decided it was time to move on…and left. Shortly after, I returned and introduced myself to “Rocky.” He offered to share his accommodations, so I climbed the fence to get into (and out of) his run. After five days of coming and going, I followed Rocky back from his walk, and into OUR “secure” room. I’m an intelligent boy, smart enough to realize what I really want (besides a secure yard). It’s my forever home where I can be loved and cared for, and someone I can love in return. Maybe that’s YOU!

Hi… my name is Kodah,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

In my youth I was a free-range Husky who didn’t receive much attention, so today, I’m friendly and calm but kind of an introvert. Don’t get me wrong: I’m okay with an occasional back rub, but please don’t pet the top of my head; it startles me. According to my foster dad, I walk well on a leash, will come to my name, and… I know some basic commands. Also, I like my foster-brother Husky, get along with the resident cat, and I’m proud to add that I haven’t been destructive. Plus, I woof when I need to go potty; however, I don’t bark excessively. To keep me safe and happy, I will need a contained yard and daily walks. True, my eye-color may be indecisive, but I’m decisive about meeting you. Let’s do this!

Hi… my name is Obsidian,

Adopted 12-22-22

I’ve been waiting for this! I can’t wait to tell you how Onyx and I came to be at TALGV. Oh! Onyx just told me he already mentioned we were found in the area of Old Nogales Highway and Madera Highlands. We’re both handsome boys, approximately 3 months old. I’m the one with the fluffy ears! I’m ready for my very own forever home. Naturally, since I’m a playful, exuberant puppy, I expect a lot of attention and affection. I guess it will be your privilege to patiently potty train me, and teach me the basic commands. It’s not that I’m asking for a lot, just a loving, secure home with my own special someone(s) to share it with. I’ll be your faithful companion, who’ll love, honor, and obey you (mostly). I promise!

Hi… my name is Oikos,

Adopted 1-15-23

I came to The Animal League with my siblings, who are already adopted. I’m ready to be adopted too! I’m super friendly and when a volunteer comes into my room, I get up and run to her for attention. I like laps and will snuggle up, gazing into your eyes with adoration. What more could you want? I’m a beautiful black boy with bright eyes and a yen for affection. Since I’m still in my kitten years, I like to play and have fun. It would be nice to have a playmate in my new home. Please come let me show you what I have to offer, and we can let the fun begin!

Hi… my name is Koto Khan,

Adopted with Callie 3-1-23

Mama was a stray, but a nice man took her in; when my sister and I were born he brought us to The Animal League. We are both a little shy right now and prefer to stay in our soft cubbies. However, the volunteers are working with us to feel more comfortable and are giving me lots of petting. Dad said that once I warm up I’m very loving, and like playing with lasers. I just need a nice home to get my bearings and come out of my shell. I’m a cute black boy. At my young age I have lots of time to explore—maybe I can do it with you!

Hi… my name is Kiki,

Adopted with Jelly 12-15-22

Mama was a stray, but a nice man took her in; when my brother and I were born he brought us to The Animal League. We are both a little shy right now and prefer to stay in our soft cubbies. However, the volunteers are working with us to feel more comfortable, and I’ve made at least one foray into my room. I do want attention and will cry for it when someone enters the room, and I like petting. I just need a nice home to get my bearings and come out of my shell. I’m a cute black girl with white whiskers and one white, and one black, eyebrow. Come say hello!

MURPHY is a handsome, good tempered, and well-behaved 5-year-old, 110-pound Lab/English Mastiff hybrid male that needs a new home. He is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained. He knows basic obedience commands, loves exercise, and responds well to treat training. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Murphy likes friendly large dogs but not small dogs; cats and children are unknown. He is a wonderful companion that needs plenty of exercise combined with lots of love and attention. Hi… my name is Crockett,

Adopted 11-11-23

How or why I ended up at the Pilot Travel Center just outside Tucson is still a mystery. Thanks to a concerned person, I was rescued and transported to TALGV where I was scanned for a chip (which I have). It appears I started out in Texas, but after a couple of calls, even though they knew who I was, no one there could actually claim me. I can’t understand why! True, I’m a little rambunctious, but who wouldn’t be under these circumstances. I’m friendly, can use the doggy door, and (might) sit for a “good” treat. Now that my traveling days are a thing of the past, I need a stable home, with a family to share it with. Just look for the handsome young Bull Terrier/Shepherd mix. I’ll be waiting for you!
