Heidi is a sweet, obedient, and loyal 8-year-old, 75-pound German Shepherd female who needs a new home.She is crate trained, leash trained, and thoroughly obedience trained. She is housebroken and asks to go out. She is in good health, spayed, up to date on shots and medical records are available. Heidi is easily trained and is not protective of food or toys, but she does not get along well with other dogs; cats and children are unknown. She can be shy until she gets to know you and has mostly been around men. She likes walking but also likes to relax with her person. There is no adoption fee for this special girl. When I first came to The Animal League as a small kitten, I needed a bath and I handled it with calm. I also needed to gain weight and grow big and strong, and with the help of my foster mom I’ve done just that! I like laps and playing. I’m easy-going and get along well with other kitties. My coat is a beautiful black with a tiny spot of white on my chest. I’m a lovebug—and I’m growing bigger waiting for my dream home! Like a flowering magnolia plant, I need the attention and care of humans. I am receiving that at The Animal League after my rescuer brought me here. She found me abandoned in a house which she had purchased. When the previous owner moved out, he left me with food, water, and a litter box. That is not enough for a pet! I need human companionship and socialization. Not much else is known about my past. At nine years of age, I have much love to give. I thought you might like to know that after my “dad” passed away and I had no one else, TALGV is a GOOD place to be. I get the attention and understanding I need, with a large dose of love thrown in. I am currently being successfully treated for a medical issue. I’m an affable boy, a Rottie mix who is approximately 4 years old. I’m at that age where I can appreciate the finer things in life like early morning walks (which I do very well), good food, occasional treats and naps, but mostly someone to love and share my life.
