Hi… my name is P.J.,

Adopted 2-14-22

I am a large puppy looking for a home where I can have lots of fun, be the center of attention, and learn how to be a well behaved dog. The folks here at TALGV think I’m part chow and part Newfoundland, but I can’t remember that far back, so I don’t know for sure either. What I do remember is that a kind man picked me up when I was all alone on the road and took me home for a bit. But he already has a canine best friend, so he brought me here. I’m getting spoiled by the volunteers and loving every minute of it. But my very own human best friend (or an entire family of them!) would be better yet! Can I be yours?

Hi… my name is Cider,

Adopted 2-2-22

I am one of five puppies who learned to love people when many of the volunteers here at TALGV came to visit us over the past weeks. Our Mom was trying to take care of us by herself outside, but we all like it much better here! Mom is a Border Collie mix and very pretty. Dad – well, I’m not really sure, and Mom’s not telling. I think he was bigger than she is because everyone says I look like I will outgrow Mom for sure. Like all puppies my age, I like to play, explore my world with eyes, ears, and mouth, and take naps. Are you ready to teach me how to be a good dog like my Mom? Then let’s meet!

Hi… my name is June Bug,

Adopted with Cricket 2-12-22

My brother Cricket and I were taken in by a nice neighbor after our people passed away. There they had lots of animals and said we both got along well with them. They said I was good with their children of various ages and liked to play with them. I know that I need to learn a few things yet, like coming when called and to sit and stay and that kind of stuff. I walk pretty well on a leash, but I’ve been told there’s some room for improvement. I am a big cuddle bug and, yes, I know, big is the operative word here! If you don’t mind a lovable lab/heeler mix snuggling in next to you on the couch, I’m your girl!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Cricket,

Adopted with June Bug 2-12-22

My sister June Bug and I were taken in by a nice neighbor after our people passed away. There they had lots of animals and said we both got along well with them. I particularly liked the horse! They said I was gentle with their children and liked when they played with me. I need to learn a few things yet, like coming when called and to sit and stay and that kind of stuff. I walk pretty well on a leash, but I’ve been told there is some room for improvement. I’m a big cuddle bug and, yes, I know, big is the operative word here! If you don’t mind a lovable Lab/ Heeler mix next to you on the couch, I’m your boy!

Hi… my name is Lance,

Adopted 3-6-22

Being the free-spirited boy that I am, I decided to go on an adventure. Fortunately for me, I safely ended up at TALGV. I’m friendly, outgoing, and love people, and often express my feelings (and opinions) vocally. That’s the “nature of my breed,” and so is stubborness. All I need is firm, gentle training! I love playing and exercising, and I admit that floral scents stimulate me. I walk and take corrections well on a leash, but tend to pull. Training on loose leash walking is recommended. I ride well in a vehicle, sit on command, and know how to wait and go when requested. My amount of agitation to other dogs depends on distance, my “threshold” range. Speaking of threshold, I hear your home  has one! That’s one threshold I’m willing to live with…forever.
