Animal League News

Hi… my name is ZaZa,

Adopted 9-10=22

I came to the Animal League “in a family way” and the nice people here took care of me until after my babies were born.  It was stressful for me to part with them!  Added to my woes was an eye infection that resulted in me losing one eye. With all that behind me, and now that the babies have gone to new homes, I’m looking to settle down in a new home myself. I’m a happy, friendly girl who wants to be your companion.  I’m just waiting for an opportunity to charm my way into your heart—come check me out!  I’d like to find a stable home where my best qualities can shine.

Hi… my name is Smokey,

Adopted 12-28-21

A sweeter boy you will not meet! I am 7 pounds of love, and most of that could be fur!  But no problem! I LOVE to be brushed and turn from side-to-side to accommodate you!  Along with my feline pal, Joya, we lived with two Newfoundland dogs and our two humans. Sadly, our dad died and our mom could no longer care for us so brought us here. We enjoy being in the same room and frequently are found on the same cat tree. So if your home could welcome us that would be great!  Please come to meet us. We are ready to charm you with our gentleness and loving dispositions.

Hi… my name is Indigo,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Although “shabby chic” usually refers to a relaxed, well-worn style of décor, it pretty much used to describe me too! When I showed up on the doorstep of a home in Sahuarita, I was skinny, dehydrated, and the personification of “raggedy Andy.” Now I’ve morphed into the gorgeous guy I was destined to be, and with your help (lots of food, love, lap time, and an indoor-only home), I promise I’ll wow you! I’m a friendly, FIV-positive guy and even though I’m in a room with “Mr. Crabby” (who will remain nameless), I’m maintaining my cool and keeping a low profile, so I’d simply adore sharing that profile with YOU!   (bio revised 6-26-22)

Hi… my name is Kris Kringle,

Adopted 1-11-22

I’ve gotta give my people credit. They had me for six years until I began fighting with my male housemate. They relinquished me to TALGV, but soon missed me so much they reclaimed me, hoping things would work out. As you can guess, things didn’t change, so now I’m dreaming of a “one cat” home (namely ME!). Mom says although I’m not the most demonstrative guy (maybe that’s because as a youngster I was dumped in a parking lot, so haven’t quite forgotten that experience), I like being with you on my terms, lying near you on a couch or bed. If you’re willing to give this handsome guy a try, I sure will give it my all!

Hi… my name is Andy,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’ve been asked to tell you about myself so here goes! First of all, you may like to know that since I’ve been at TALGV for a while, I come with Vet Care Support for Life. Next, I have good friends, especially my Foster Mom and Dad. The other three dogs at my foster home are my friends now, too, and although I’m a big, energetic guy who can play rough, I’m learning to play with them individually. At “night-night” I get in my crate and also understand words like “sit,” “down,” and lots more. Favorite game? Go get the ball, of course! Foster Mom calls me a fast learner and a super loving dog. I’m still a bit anxious and very stubborn but am able to relax and have fun with a loving family. In my heart I know they care about me and that makes everything possible. Could you and I care about each other? Let’s meet and find out!

Hi… my name is Fiona,

Rainbow Bridge 8-5-22

I’ve come a long way from providing the residents in an assisted living facility with lots of love as the “house cat” by snuggling and schmoozing with them in their rooms to needing that kind of care myself. Since then, I’ve lost my sight and am on a special kidney diet, so now it’s my turn to have someone be as loving to me as I’ve been to others (and at 14 years old I have Vet Care Support for Life to help with medical bills and food). I know that angels will be sitting on your shoulders when you decide to make your lap the spot in which I spend my golden years!
