Hi… my name is Patch,

Adopted 8-28-21

I am a young, active cattle dog mix who spent most of his first year with other dogs. I am a friendly guy who loves to play and run. While I am still most comfortable with four-legged companions, I’m learning that those who walk on two legs can give me some incredible ear scratches and belly rubs! My foster mom has taught me to let her know when I need to go potty and how to use a doggie door. She also says that I am crate-trained. I would really like to have at least one dog buddy in my new home who can show me the ropes. And people (or a person) with patience that are willing to give me the time to get comfortable and understand how to be their special companion.

Hi… my name is Lola,

Adopted 5-8-21

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear my name? If you said a gorgeous, svelte female, … DOBERMAN, then you would be correct. Yes, that’s me! I’m 3 years old and I’m hoping to be interviewing potential adopters for a new abode. That’s the possible purebred in me speaking! When you get right down to it, I’m just a gal looking for a loving person to invite me into their home. I know several commands: I can shake (with both paws), down, sit, fetch, and drop it. I love going for walks with a strong handler who can offer direction. There’s also my fun, playful side and for some reason I enjoy playing with squeaky toys. If I’m still what comes to mind, I’m yours!

Hi… my name is Twilight,

Adopted 4-30-21

Do you appreciate sleek black beauties with nary a single white hair? What about a lightning fast paw at cat games? Then I’m your lady! I’m a whiz at bat the rat and many other cat and mouse games. I’m about a year old and was found wandering in the Animal League’s neighborhood. I don’t know if I’m good with kids, dogs, or other cats, but give me a try, because I fit in so well with people, I’d probably be fine. When I’m not playing cat games, I’m looking for a lap to curl up and snuggle into. So why not let me share my love and charms with you? You’ll never regret it!

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

It’s been a while since I arrived at TALGV, but I’ve come a long way, baby! I’m still that sweet, energetic gal who enjoys playing fetch with my toys and going for long walks. Being in a foster home has been a happy experience for me. My foster mom says I’ve been “excellent” with the kids. I’m house and crate trained and understand the commands; “sit,” “wait,” “down,” and “shake.” I can offer you faithful companionship, if you can offer me a home without cats; in fact, it would be best if I were your ONLY pet. It’s important to note that I come with Vet Care Support for Life. Please come and meet me soon and maybe I can interest you in a game of fetch.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Pickles,

Adopted  4-8-21

I’m so happy to be here with my best friend Dottie. We, just the two of us girls, are so lucky to share a room. I’m a little older than Dottie, but at 1 ½ years I’m still a shepherd-mix pup. At first neither of us knew what to expect. Imagine the pleasant surprise we had when we met our new friends and realized our lives were about to change for the better. Besides all of the good food and loving attention we’re receiving, we’re also getting what they call “leash trained” so we can leave our room and actually go for a walk. Your first move, a friendly introduction, will open the door to our mutual affection. Now that I have mentioned “move,” I think your next move, to my forever home, also starts with you.

Hi… my name is Dottie,

After being rescued from a home with 45 dogs, I was brought to TALGV. When I first arrived I had a roommate, but now I have my own room. I like other dogs but sometimes I may be a bit exuberant with new canine friends. I’m still a young pup who needs more training, preferably with you! I have already learned how to walk on a leash and use a doggie door. What I really need now is a loving person in a stable home to help me transition from puppyhood to adulthood. I’m discovering how it feels to receive affection (and I like it), and I want to learn what it’s like to be part of a real family. If you believe you can offer me that, please call and make an appointment to meet.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Zorro (aka Sweet Kitty),

Adopted 11-30-21

When I arrived, everyone wondered how in the world I got the nickname “Sweet Kitty” ‘cause I was anything but! It takes cats time to adjust to life’s upheavals, but some more than others. Happily, one of the wonderful coordinators took me on as her “special project,” and aren’t I glad she did, because I’m now enjoying belly and head rubs, and the company of new humans more each day. I have a common condition called arthritis (you bipeds know about that!), and my mom gave me glucosamine, which helped. I’m a big guy (that doesn’t help the arthritis, so maybe a diet is in store?) who’d love to live up to my alias with you!
