Hi… my name is Paul,

Adopted July 14, 2016

Not long ago, my friend (probably sister) Mary and I were little puppies with big worries! At just 3 months old, 5 and 7 pounds, we were more than lost—we were lost in the desert. A rancher said we’d been there for 3 days and nights. I can tell you we were very hungry and thirsty, and counting our lucky stars to have been found in time. My finder described me as particularly shy, hard to pick up at first, but I’m learning to feel safe now. Indeed, I’m learning lots of new things—how to play, cuddle, go on walks, and be happy with your person. As a Chihuahua mix, I’ll always be little, but life has given me a great big heart. Won’t you let me give you all my love?

Not long ago, my friend (probably brother) Paul and I were little puppies with big worries! At just 3 months old, 5 and 7 pounds, we were more than lost—we were lost in the desert. A rancher said we’d been there for 3 days and nights. I can tell you we were very hungry and thirsty, and counting our lucky stars to have been found in time. My finder described me as appearing “tough” but becoming very sweet when held, and I’m learning to feel safe now. Hi… my name is Carly,

Adopted June 8, 2016

To be given away can be hurtful, especially if it’s not your fault. When my former people brought me to TALGV with three other family dogs, they said good things about me, so I have high hopes that I’ll soon find someone who’ll love me forever! The volunteers tell me that could be lots of people because I’d fit well into almost any household. I’m said to be gentle and tolerant with children, intelligent, and exceptionally sweet. I can tell you that I love the company of people. At 4 years old and about 32 pounds, I like to play and always enjoy one-on-one time with you. I’m a beautiful blonde female, a Canaan Dog mix, and if you take me home, I’ll put my whole heart into being your faithful companion for life!

Hi… my name is Cookie (II),

Adopted February 24, 2016

As a contented, very gentle 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel, I’m happy with basic comforts: food and water, shelter, and age-appropriate exercise. You could say that all I really need is love. My human mom and I enjoyed life together for 11 years, but when her serious health issue arose, she had to go to a place where I couldn’t go. She had taught me well, and I like to please; I know commands like “sit” and “stay,” am leash trained and just generally mind very well. I come with free vet care for life, so that’s taken care of, too. Yes, I often walk in the slower lane of life these days, but I still have a heart full of love and truly hope you’ll choose me to share all the happy days ahead.

Joy

Hi… my name is Joy,

Adopted January 23, 2016

There’s no nice way to say this: My brothers and sisters and I were dumped. We were left out in the cold and filth with only each other for comfort, lucky to get food from a kind stranger. I don’t want to even think about what might have happened if TALGV hadn’t come to our rescue. Thankfully, the vet who examined us said we are remarkably healthy. Also, the volunteers think I probably had some okay human interaction before being abandoned because I’m comfortable with humans. I’m a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix female, blond, just 10 pounds, with unforgettably cute ears.  Imagine how grateful I’ll be for a comfy, carefree home with someone who’ll love and care for me forever. I’ll be the best little companion you could want! Won’t you take me home today?

Hi… my name is Jingle,

Adopted June 14, 2016

There’s no nice way to say this: My siblings and I were dumped. We were left out in the cold and filth with only each other for comfort, lucky to get food from a kind stranger. Thankfully, TALGV came to our rescue, and the vet said we’re remarkably healthy. I’m still shy, but I’ve been learning how to have fun again. I’m a 4-year-old, blond, Chihuahua mix male; all 10 pounds of me truly adorable. In foster care, I’m living with Angel, a brown and white female Chihuahua mix. We love each other and are so good together that we need to be adopted together. Imagine how grateful we’ll be for a comfy home with someone who’ll love us both forever. We’ll be the best little companions ever! Won’t you take us home today?

Tia

Adopted December 1, 2015

TIA is cute and sweet 6-pound, Chihuahua female who needs a new home for economic reasons. She loves attention, lap sitting and walking on a leash. Tia is crate trained and was trained to use a doggie door. She has been spayed and shots are up to date. Tia is rather shy and would be best as only dog, but she would be a wonderful companion dog for adults. There is no adoption fee. If you would welcome Tia into a loving home as part of your family, please call Mary Ellen between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-603-4441.

Hi… my name is Ariel,

Adopted October 16, 2015

I’m a little dog with a big dream. Here’s my story: I was lost, an 8.6 pound, 5-month-old Rat Terrier mix female on the street, on my own. Then I saw a guy washing his car and he smiled at me. He and his wife gave me food, water, and a ride to TALGV.   Here, I’ve met all kinds of new friends and we’re busy every day, playing, going for walks, and just keeping each other company. They say I’m smart, loving, and lively, and like lots of Rat Terriers, I’m an all-around great companion. And that’s where my big dream comes in. Every night, I dream about the happy day when someone takes me home to be their best little friend forever. Could it be you? Could you make my dream come true?

Max

Hi… my name is Max,

Adopted September 17, 2015

After 4 years as a member of the family—I’m 4 years old, so basically my whole life—I lost my home through no fault of my own. I belonged to the daughter and when she moved, there was no one to take care of me. My owner said I was good in the house when they were gone, but those were lonely times. I’m a super friendly Spaniel and so I really like to share the good times with a special someone. Here at TALGV, I see friends all around me, which is great. Still, I’m hoping to be part of a family again—a forever family. Let’s get together so I can show you how much fun it can be to have a playful, handsome, super friendly Spaniel in your life.
