Hi… my name is Liberty,

Adopted 8-18-17

Now that everything’s okay, I’m happy to be an Animal League star! My babies and I were part of a remarkable rescue—twelve dogs found in a vacant house without food or water in triple-digit heat. Our TALGV friends worked frantically to save us and they succeeded! Of course, like all good mothers, I did everything I could for my three babies and have kept it up once we were safely here. The volunteers (who’ve seen many litters) compliment me on being a very good and attentive mother. They also say that on my own—a young, blonde, 10-pound Poodle mix female—I’m an exceptionally sweet and adorable dog. So all’s well save for one thing: Now that my pups are all adopted, I’ll need a home of my own. Could you be the one to rescue me forever?

Hi… my name is Sparkler,

Adopted 7-30-17

There were twelve of us—6 young dogs and 6 newborn puppies—left in an abandoned house without food or water in triple-digit heat. Then a door opened. A woman had heard us. She was our first hero, and there would be many more. Indeed, we were in such dire straits that the rescue activity at TALGV by so many people—busy with fluids, cooling, nourishment, whatever we needed—is a bit of a blur. What I know for sure is that our lives were saved that day. Now we each have a future—a chance to thrive, play, give and receive love. I’m a blonde/reddish 1-year-old Poodle mix female, 12 pounds, and I’m sure you understand why I’m so ready for a carefree, fun and happy life in a comfy, loving home with you!

Hi… my name is Taco,

Adopted 6-1-17

When our home changed to include three small children (2 and 3 years old) and two dogs (both bigger than me), I wasn’t as comfortable as I had been. My person said I couldn’t handle the small kids anymore, and so it was decided I’d better find a new home. Right now, things have been kind of scary; I’m a little guy—7 years old, just 15-1/2 pounds. You can imagine how much I’d love to snuggle in your lap, if that’s okay with you. Indeed, I’d like to be your lap dog every day! We can go on walks, too—I’m leash trained and housebroken (in my former home I’d stand by the door to “ask” to go outside). I really just want to be someone’s good dog forever. Won’t you make me yours?

Hi… my name is Chubaca,

Adopted with Jade 6-2-17

What’s the plural of Pekingese? I should know—I arrived as one of five! (Turns out, the plural is the same as the singular.) Our person’s own health concern meant she couldn’t care for us, so we’re here—a mix of colors, genders, ages and weights, each of us needing a new loving home. I’m a 4-1/2-year-old blond male, 18 pounds, and for fun, I play with my toy ball. According to my person, I get along with people of a gentle nature, but not with other male dogs, and I’ve never been around children. I’m used to being in a crate, but going on a walk is brand new. I’m finding a big beautiful world out there. And for me, the best thing in that world would be a happy life with you!

Hi… my name is Camellia,

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

At 10 years of age, I’m glad to say I know what love is. Some time ago, when I’d been abandoned, neighborhood kids fed me for 3 weeks. Then I was adopted, but due to health concerns of their own, my people had to bring me here. Love flows both ways, of course, so I understand and wish them only the best. But I do need a new home, and since I’m an older dog, that requires someone special. I’m overweight and have some concerns older dogs often do, but I also have good news: I come with FREE Vet Care for Life! I’m leash trained (although I walk slowly), I love children, and if you have a place in your heart for me, I’d love to share my gentle, peaceful company with you.

Cody adopted his rescuer 5-22-17

CODY is a mild-mannered, gentle 2-year-old blonde Lab/husky mix boy who lost his mom recently and needs a new loving home. He is house-broken and asks to go out, but he loves his daily walks. He weighs 120 pounds, is neutered and up to date on his shots (medical records are available). Cody likes other dogs and cats, is social with everyone, especially women, and he likes children of all ages. He is used to a doggy door and will “sit” on command. Cody is mostly a house dog who enjoys laying on his cushion, but he would enjoy a ranch or horse setting. There is no adoption fee. To arrange a meeting with this special dog, please call John between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-591-5474.

Hi… my name is Drake,

Adopted 4-5-17

Drake has FREE Vet Care for Life

I’ll be a gracious gentleman and simply say that I became a TALGV dog because my owner forgot to pick me up. (The word “abandoned” is so hurtful that I’ve chosen to forget it.) So, I’ve been waiting a while, but now my future looks great—the chance for a happy, comfy, loving home with my wonderful new someone. Who could ask for more? Oh, I should explain that if you notice my chronic limp, that’s due to a past injury to one of my legs. Of course, I still hope you choose me for my charm and good looks, but there’s also this practical reassurance: I’m 10 years old, so I come with FREE vet care for life! I’m a blonde Labrador Retriever male. Could you be the one I’m watching for?
