Hi… my name is Blackie,

Adopted with Bugsy 4-17-18

Double your pleasure, double your fun, adopt a bonded pair, two for one.

Bugsy and I were buddies at first woof. He was already living with our mom when I wandered onto the property and they welcomed me with open arms (and paws). Bugsy and I have been best friends ever since, sticking together after Mom’s death and now looking for a forever home for two. We have a lot in common—both playful, housebroken, leash-trained males, I’m 3 and he’s 4, and our personalities complement each other; I’m a bit more adventurous (need training not to climb a fence), and Bugsy is especially sweet and loving. Together, we’re a bonded pair—we play together and keep each other company—two dogs who dream of one home where we share the joy of being family with people, too. Please say we’re the right two for you forever!

Hi… my name is Patty (aka Dot),

Adopted 2-23-18

Patty comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

My door sign could read “Visitors Welcome” because I’m a friendly dog who loves the attention of people. As a grown-up, an 8-1/2-year-old, I can be gentle and calm, walk by your side, nicely leash trained. But also, just being me, I’m outgoing and fun-loving, too. At my former home, a gate or door was too often left open and I’d wander out, looking for friends—fun, but not safe. A new home will be best, and I’m excited about finding someone new who cares about me. I’m a 54-pound female, a brindle and white sweetie who has free vet care for life, dreaming of my forever home—that place where we’re happy just being together, having fun and taking care of each other. If that’s “home” for you, too, I’d love to be yours!

Max

Hi… my name is Max,

Adopted 8-25-17

There are tiny doggies and then there’s me: A 140-pound, 6-year-old brindle Mastiff male. Take me for a walk and strangers may smile and wave, apparently so impressed by my size. But I’m used to it—I just grew this way! Plus, for years I’ve lived with Oreo, a 32-pound Bassett Hound, so I know how to share my space. I’m a sweet, easy-going guy, but remember the big part—a strong walker on your end of the leash is a good idea. I need a new home due to the health concerns of our former person, who left word that I’ve been gentle and tolerant with youngsters (ages 6-17), am leash trained, and “ask” to go outside. So if there’s room for a big love in your life, I’m the guy for you.

Hi… my name is Keta,

Adopted with Chancellor 8-29-17

Comes with Free Vet Care of Life

My buddy Chancellor and I were great pals to our family, but one thing we couldn’t fix: The kids were allergic to us. So now we’re available to join another family—a household of one or more. I’ll probably make the change just fine because I’m one of the calmest dogs around—nothing much rattles me. And I love big people and kids, too (our human mom said I was great with her babies). All my people friends appreciate my good manners—housebroken, leash-trained, great in the car, know several commands—plus I can be independent and enjoy my alone time. An adorable brindle Shepherd/Staffie mix female, 57 pounds, I’m 10 years old and have FREE Vet Care for Life, so there’s lots to love about me. If you agree, we should be together!

Hi… my name is Sherbet,

Adopted 6-11-17

My siblings and I were born and found living under a trailer. Our little spot was in the shade, but not a place where we could grow up, and the person nearby already had several dogs. So we came here; happy, fun-loving puppies ready for life’s next big adventure! We’re already very good at puppy things—eating, playing, rolling on top of each other—and with time, patience and attention from loving people, we can also become good at the things that will someday make us delightful, well-trained grown-up dogs. (In the meantime, we expect to have lots of puppy-people fun, too!) I’m an adorable brindle male, 9.6 pounds at 7 weeks and growing, probably a Shepherd/Terrier mix. You may like all puppies, but please say I’m the one you want for keeps!

Hi… my name is Angel,

Adopted 6-17-17

I was found wandering some dirt roads near here, which can be fun if you can go home at the end of the day. But I didn’t have a home. My finder liked me, but I was too rough with her mini Chihuahua, so now I’m here, hoping the next winding road leads me to my happily ever after. According to my finder, I liked playing with kids, and volunteers agree that I enjoy the company of people. Indeed, I’m definitely a fun-loving dog, who can walk well on a leash, and cuddle, too. And although I wasn’t a good match with my finder’s dogs, I’ve lived with another dog here at TALGV. I’m a brindle, grey and white female, 61 pounds and about 2 years old. Won’t you please come find me here?

Hi… my name is Happy,

Adopted 8-9-17

I was an easy dog to name because—as you’ll see if you visit me—I’m a happy dog. Oh sure, I’ve known some sadness. I was a stray when my finder spotted me on the road by his parents’ house. He said he rescued me so I wouldn’t get hit, and I say bless him for that! While waiting to come here, he kept me for 1-1/2 weeks and during that time, he said, I was gentle and tolerant with kids (ages 13 and 15) and okay with other dogs. I’m a brindle and white female, about 2-1/2-years-old, and such a friendly dog that you’ll probably see my happy smile. Of course, you can change my name if you want—I’ll be happy with whatever you choose as long as I’m called yours!

Hi… my name is Donny,

Adopted 2-10-17

My puppy sister, Marie, and I were relinquished—which we’ve learned is a big word for “given up.” But please don’t feel sad for us because we are two happy puppies! We have our own suite here (they call it a crate, but when you’re still little and have all this space with a bed and room service—it feels like a luxury suite). And we play all day! Plus, people stop by to ooh and aah, telling us how cute we are. I’m just 2 months old, 6-1/2 pounds and growing, a Staffie/Aussie mix male with a handsome brindle coat and sweet face, and if you think I’m adorable, well, the feeling could be mutual! How about we meet today and see if we should be spending all of our tomorrows happily together!

Hi… my name is Q-tip (aka Dixie),

Adopted 1-7-17

When I was first adopted, I was part of a litter found in the desert and weighed just 8 pounds! Today, I’m a 55-pound, 17-month-old who’s learned a thing or two. Unfortunately, my family is splitting up and their new places won’t have room for my buddy Atticus or me. (We’ve lived together for the last year or so.) But I’m optimistic! After all, it’s a good thing to have some training under your belt, right? I know some important commands, and my former owners said I was good in the house even when they were gone. They described me as a “playful, loyal cuddler,” and said I was “great with cats!” Brindle and white, I’m a Heeler mix female who hopes my next home is my forever home with someone wonderful like you!
