Hi… my name is Miss Kitty,

Adopted 1-31-24

To say that I’m upset to lose my home is an understatement! When my human dad passed away, his widow brought me here. She said I’m definitely a “one person cat.” I lived my entire life doting on my human dad. I’m sad and lonely. Perhaps you can understand my loss. I’ve never been around other cats, dogs, or children. I’m a good eater. I’m FRONT DECLAWED. I love to lounge around like the princess I was in my previous home. I need my new human to love, but I’m shy with strangers, so you’ll need to exercise patience in getting me to become your one-and-only cat. A love transformation is in order!

Hi… my name is Nala Lala,

Adopted 1-31-24

Dad passed away, so here I am looking for a new home. I’m a senior girl that comes with free vet care support for life. I’m a little shy but will purr when the volunteers pet me. I hang out under a cat tree. I’m not used to other pets, and don’t get along well with children—but you can depend on me to use my litter box. I must be a good eater ‘cause I’m a big girl. I’ll warm up to you if you show patience. My coat is a brown, grey and white mix, with dark stripes. I’d really like to find a quiet home where I can be your easy companion.

Hi… my name is Chevelle,

Adopted 12-31-23

In my young life I’ve learned it’s a cruel world out there—and I’m glad to be indoors now. A nice lady found me in her yard and did the right thing by bringing me to The Animal League. Maybe because life hasn’t exactly been great so far, I’m a little grumpy. I don’t mind being around cats and people, but I kind of like to have my own space—except I do like to have my ears scratched. I will probably warm up more in the right home. I’m a pretty brown tabby girl with a fluffy coat. Can you give me a fresh start? I do want to experience a loving home.

Hi… my name is Ric Rac,

Adoptd 12-26-23

If you have a soft spot for survivors, then please come meet me. My mama had four kittens in a garden, and I’m the only kitten to survive. Mama and I were brought to The Animal League where we are enjoying tender loving care. I’m a lovely girl and sweet, too! My tabby markings are unique in grays and browns. And just look at my eyes! I’m alert to the next person I meet who might just become my human to love! I have my “kitten ways” with no previous ideas of “home,” but I hear that a “home” is a loving place that appreciates us pets! That’s for me! Please come meet me.

Hi… my name is Sneakers,

Adopted 4-5-24

Found outside in a Sahuarita neighborhood, I stayed with a woman for one month, sleeping outside. Fortunately, she brought me to The Animal League so I could have my kittens in the safety of a foster home. My foster mom said that I was shy but very sweet and that I got along great with her dogs.  I love tummy rubs while being petted. Despite being a mama, I am kitten-like myself and playful. After living outside, I know I REALLY like living inside where all my needs are cared for. Won’t you come meet me?  We might just be the right shoe/sneaker size! And then you could adopt me! I promise to bring you smiles.

Hi… my name is Aquarius,

Adopted 1-18-24

“This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.”  Yes, I’m ready to be adopted!  I’ve had my kittens and they are finding their own homes, so it’s my turn to be adopted. When you come to The Animal League to meet me, I will greet you and ask to be petted. You will notice my cute rusty-pink nose and mouth, sort of like I put lipstick all over my face. I’m petite and pretty. I lived with my human mom all my life. When she downsized into an apartment, there was no room for me and my five kittens. When will the Age of Aquarius begin? When YOU adopt me into my forever home!

Hi… my name is Smitty,

When my human mom became ill and could no longer care for my feline pal Toby and me, she brought us to The Animal League. Although sad to lose our home, Toby and I are being well-cared for here. About me, mom said: “Smitty is very laid back and sweet.  He loves to walk by you and rub his head on you. He is good with other cats, dogs, turtles, and birds. He’s lazy and loves head scratches and treats. He can sleep anywhere but usually on his cat bed.” Recently, I was diagnosed with diabetes so am in foster care receiving special medical treatment. But, hey, that won’t stop me from loving you! Let’s make arrangements to meet.

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may  call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.
