Hi… my name is Columbia,

Adopted 1-19-22

A nice lady let me and my kitten live on her back porch for several months in Rio Rico.  Well, after living outside the inevitable happened, and I became pregnant again—so she brought me to The Animal League. It’s a good thing, too—I wasn’t looking forward to wintering “in the rough” and the prospect of having to scavenge for enough food for all my babies. I’m so happy to be inside now, and my babies are taken care of. I’m a little shy, but not aggressive. I’m hoping for a nice warm home and someone who can help me feel secure. Is that YOU?

Hi… my name is Curly,

Adopted 1-7-22

By my name you may think I have a curly tail or curly hair, but no!  Found under floorboards of a house as a stray, I’m mama of the “Hair Litter” so got the name Curly. Well, it really fits me! I’m so cute and the sweetest, most gentle lady you’d ever want to meet. And friendly…why yes!  When volunteers come in the door, I’m out of my cubby to meet and greet them.  I love the volunteers’ attention, but so yearn for a home of my own now that my babies are on their way to homes of their own. Won’t you please come meet me so I can share my charms with you?

Hi… my name is Magoo,

Adopted 9-21-22

When I arrived at TALGV, I was discombobulated having lost my home, so I hid under “blankies” to feel safe. My human mom said I was a super-sweet guy who liked noisy toys, being petted, and slept anywhere. Kind volunteers are feeding me varieties of canned food which I lap up (a recent dental removed most of my teeth). Petting me, they are rewarded with quite the purr motor! I LOVE to be petted, and I love to be the only pet!  No dogs or other cats, please!  And I’ve never been around children. I want to be your one and only.  If you’ve got room for one love in your life, then I’m your guy!

Hi… my name is Tostito,

Adopted with Felix 10-20-21

When you’re just a kitten (well, a teenager now), it’s not surprising that my person said, “She loves toothbrushes, things to climb, sleeps on a bed, in the bathroom sink, or under the kitchen table, and is very comfortable around dogs (a Jack Russell and Rhodesian Ridgeback) and another older cat.” OK, the cat wasn’t crazy about ME, but you can’t win ‘em all! So, their loss will be your gain when you let me capture your heart. I’m the best variety of cat (in my humble opinion) – a classic brown tabby – so surprise yourself with how much happier and full your life will be with me in it! You’ll never regret it – guaranteed!

My baby pictures are at the bottom of the photo gallery.

Hi… my name is Angel,

Adopted 8-28-21

I’m not bragging, just repeating what the volunteers are saying about me: “We couldn’t have picked a more perfect name for him!” Maybe it was because I had an angel on my shoulder when I was rescued right before being euthanized at a county shelter, but it sure fit my personality, too! I’m a delightful, playful, loving boy (I even like being held!) who, dare I say, is as handsome as can be into the bargain with my golden brown tabby coat. No one knows whether I’d be okay with kids, dogs, or other cats (though I’ll bet I would!), but I’m definitely an “everyone’s-a-friend” kind of guy, so let’s make beautiful music together!

Hi… my name is Simon,

Adopted 8-11-21

You don’t usually associate a noble bearing with a super warm personality, but I’m sure the exception! I give the image of the “king of the jungle” new meaning with my regal looks, but just sit down near me for a few seconds and I’ll be in your lap waiting for petting and long meaningful chats. A while back, I had a belly rash that no one seemed to be able to cure (they’ve done a bang-up job of it at TALGV, though!), and my mom could no longer care for me. I’ve been treated and recovered beautifully here, and I’m ready for a new human to love. I do so hope it’s you!

Hi… my name is Trouble,

Adopted with Peaches 5-27-21

People sometimes forget how much attention kittens need, want, and, most importantly, deserve for them to turn into well-adjusted adults. We’re adorable as all get-out when we’re bouncing-everywhere little fur balls (well, we’re pretty endearing all our lives; we youngsters just take a lot more “work” as we grow up!). That’s what happened when our 90-year-old mom decided that she was just “too old” to give my sister, Peaches, and me proper care. She was moving, too, so that added to her decision to give us a chance for a new home. Peaches, and I are really bonded, so we need to stay together, but that’ll just be that much more fun for us all!
