Hi… my name is Champagne,

Adopted 9-26-18

There seem to be an awful lot of young feline mothers around this time of year, but that’s “nature’s way” when you haven’t been spayed! Happily, my friend, Algonquin, and I (along with our broods) were brought to TALGV and that item has been “taken care of,” so I’m way past ready to be the friendly and affectionate homebody nature really intended! I’m a classic 2-year-old tabby, and having undoubtedly contributed more than my share to the cat population, right now I simply want the chance to “just be me!” I promise I’ll never look back longingly at my “free and easy” days if you’ll give me a place in your home and heart!

Hi… my name is Mustafa,

Adopted 1-11-18

When TALGV’s Outreach volunteers were rounding up a litter of stray kittens at Wal-Mart, I got caught in “the raid” too! But that’s a good thing really, ‘cause although the free roaming life might be fun for a while, it’s got a lot of drawbacks, so I’m pretty happy I got nabbed. You can tell I’ve been on the lam for a while, as my coat needs some work, but I know good food, gentle grooming, and lots of love are going to turn me into one handsome devil! They’re thinking I’m about 2 years old, and although I look a little rough around the edges at the moment, my relative youth will come shining through in no time. Why not be around for the metamorphosis?

Hi… my name is Mido,

Adopted 9-4-17

There’s no denying it, the first thing you’ll notice about me is that I’m, ahem, “rather large.” Okay, BIG! Twenty-three pounds to exact, so you can say with complete assurance that I’m not a picky eater (I’ve been on a diet recently and that’s helped a lot)! My dad took my housemate, Raggio, and me from my first family when they were transferred and only had us three weeks before bringing us to TALGV. To be fair, he did try (and said that I had a “good temperament”), but that just isn’t enough time for most cats to adjust to new circumstances, so I’m hoping another family will be more patient and let me prove that I really can be a companion extraordinaire!

Hi… my name is Twiggy,

Adopted 5-17-19

You know how they ask ill-mannered people, “Were you born in a barn?” Well I was, but having lived under those circumstances for a while I’ve taken the opposite tack and have impeccable behavior! I get along “just OK” with other cats (but it might be nice to be an “only child” for a change!), and prefer a quiet home where there isn’t a lot of action. I love to sit next to you and hang around the house making myself useful. Not much to ask of a classic tabby who, despite my name, isn’t skinny at all. I just want a place of my own to share because life’s so much nicer with someone to love, don’t you think?

Hi… my name is Copper,

Adopted 3-26-17

There are lots of synonyms for “sweetness” in the dictionary, but for some reason not one of them is “Copper!” Well, it should be in there because according to everyone who meets me, I’m exactly that! I “just showed up” at a home in a Sahuarita neighborhood one day, and my rescuer said that I wanted so badly to come inside, but unfortunately she had other pets that weren’t terribly welcoming. She also said that I was very playful, loved meeting everyone who came by, and simply craved attention. All you need to do is come by and visit and you’ll see for yourself – I’ll be the first one to lean over and whisper sweet nothings in your ear. Trust me, you won’t be able to resist this gorgeous two-year-old!

Hi… my name is Frosty,

Adopted 1-16-17

You’d think with a name like mine I’d be a white or silver guy, but I think I got my name because my beautifully soft “ticked” tabby coat looks like I have a glaze of frost on me! Of course, that isn’t my “real” name as I was rescued when I ran in front of a car on Duval Mine Road, and happily for me the driver stopped and brought me to TALGV (well, I was right across the street … how’s that for planning!). They think I’m about 4 years old, and although still a bit shaken after my adventure, at heart I’m a real lover and want only to be warm, safe, and in a home that will make sure I never go aroamin’ again!

Hi… my name is Zena,

Adopted June 28, 2016

Zena and Athena are sweet and social 9½-month-old bonded female siblings who need a new home as owner was allergic to cats. Athena is a beautiful silver tabby and Zena is a striking brown tabby with apricot highlights. Athena is very active, playful and curious whereas Zena is more calm and relaxed. Both are very social and love people; they are good with kids; other cats and dogs are unknown. They would enjoy sleeping next to you if allowed. Since these beauties are tightly bonded, they should not be separated.
