Animal League News

Hi… my name is Morsel,

Adopted 10-22-22

Wandering around a neighborhood, I wanted inside my rescuer’s home. No wonder! I was found to be “in the family way” and needed protection from the outdoors. A kind lady brought me here. After I had my kittens, we were all adopted into different homes…but mine wasn’t a good fit for me.  Although I craved human attention and would rub their legs, I couldn’t get enough and would cry. I also fought with the other resident cat. I think I need to be your one and only—and I want lots of your attention. I like to play and be petted and will reward you with my affection. Is this a fit for you?

Hi… my name is Misty,

Adopted 4-22-23

I’m looking for my third home…and hoping the third time is the charm! Dad was moving and couldn’t take me with him, so here I am at The Animal League. I was a little shy when I arrived here, but now I’m out and about and like attention. Once I warm up to you, I will approach you to be petted. Although I didn’t get along with dogs in a previous home, I’m pretty easy-going. My curiosity sometimes gets me into trouble, like when I chew on plastic. But give me a scratching post and I’m one happy girl! Why not come in to meet me? Maybe we could be “best friends forever.”

Hi… my name is Cleo,

Adopted 12-12-22

Moving is hard. My human mom had to move in with her daughter who is allergic to felines so here I am waiting for another human to love. Mom said, “she has been an only cat. She will take a while to warm up to you, but once she does, she’ll want to be with you. She is the same with children or other adults. You just have to take it easy with her till she is comfortable with you.”  That is what volunteers are finding true. I’m scared and upset about my change in locations so am adjusting slowly. Please give me time to adjust to your loving care, and I will be your forever friend.

Hi… my name is Napoleon,

Adopted 8-16-22

I’m ready to go places!  A nice man found me in the wheel well of his car—and gave me a ride to The Animal League. I was a little befuddled at first but now I see how nice it is to be indoors and safe, with regular meals. I like to be petted and enjoy lazing on a soft bed. I’m not too wild about my current roommates, but I like to play with my toys. I really want a new home where I can continue to let my affectionate personality blossom. Are you ready to give me a ride to a new home?

Hi… my name is Columbia,

Adopted 1-19-22

A nice lady let me and my kitten live on her back porch for several months in Rio Rico.  Well, after living outside the inevitable happened, and I became pregnant again—so she brought me to The Animal League. It’s a good thing, too—I wasn’t looking forward to wintering “in the rough” and the prospect of having to scavenge for enough food for all my babies. I’m so happy to be inside now, and my babies are taken care of. I’m a little shy, but not aggressive. I’m hoping for a nice warm home and someone who can help me feel secure. Is that YOU?

Hi… my name is Curly,

Adopted 1-7-22

By my name you may think I have a curly tail or curly hair, but no!  Found under floorboards of a house as a stray, I’m mama of the “Hair Litter” so got the name Curly. Well, it really fits me! I’m so cute and the sweetest, most gentle lady you’d ever want to meet. And friendly…why yes!  When volunteers come in the door, I’m out of my cubby to meet and greet them.  I love the volunteers’ attention, but so yearn for a home of my own now that my babies are on their way to homes of their own. Won’t you please come meet me so I can share my charms with you?

Hi… my name is Magoo,

Adopted 9-21-22

When I arrived at TALGV, I was discombobulated having lost my home, so I hid under “blankies” to feel safe. My human mom said I was a super-sweet guy who liked noisy toys, being petted, and slept anywhere. Kind volunteers are feeding me varieties of canned food which I lap up (a recent dental removed most of my teeth). Petting me, they are rewarded with quite the purr motor! I LOVE to be petted, and I love to be the only pet!  No dogs or other cats, please!  And I’ve never been around children. I want to be your one and only.  If you’ve got room for one love in your life, then I’m your guy!

Hi… my name is Tostito,

Adopted with Felix 10-20-21

When you’re just a kitten (well, a teenager now), it’s not surprising that my person said, “She loves toothbrushes, things to climb, sleeps on a bed, in the bathroom sink, or under the kitchen table, and is very comfortable around dogs (a Jack Russell and Rhodesian Ridgeback) and another older cat.” OK, the cat wasn’t crazy about ME, but you can’t win ‘em all! So, their loss will be your gain when you let me capture your heart. I’m the best variety of cat (in my humble opinion) – a classic brown tabby – so surprise yourself with how much happier and full your life will be with me in it! You’ll never regret it – guaranteed!

My baby pictures are at the bottom of the photo gallery.
