Hi… my name is Weezy.

Adopted January 17, 2015.

My family made a commitment to move to Colorado, and since they didn’t yet have a place to live, my “lady friend,” Lacey, and I couldn’t go along. I’ve got to be up front here and tell you that I haven’t had a lot of leadership in my young life, but boy am I willing and eager to learn! I lived with a family with lots of kids, but spent most of my time playing with them out in the yard, so I need some education in the indoor deportment department! I’m a happy-go-lucky, young American Bulldog/Staffie mix boy and for an experienced person who can provide consistent leadership, I’ll be the find of a lifetime!

Hi… my name is Lacey.

Adopted October 8, 2014.

My family made a commitment to move to Colorado, and since they didn’t yet have a place to live, my “boyfriend,” Weezy, and I couldn’t go along. Mom said I’m a super happy lady who loves to go for walks, know a few basic commands (sit, shake, and slow), and am very tolerant of kids of all ages. She said I’m not fond of strange dogs (although I got along with Weezy just fine), and am very protective of my person and home. I’m a golden Chow/Retriever mix, and if you’d like a settled companion (who also comes with TALGV’s Free Vet Care for Life!), I’d be a perfect fit.

Hi… my name is Smokey.

I was adopted on August 4, 2014.

When my mom moved recently, she couldn’t afford the deposit they wanted for her to keep me, so although I don’t take up much space, am quiet as can be (I can “pussyfoot” with the best of them!), I had to go. She adopted me from a friend a year ago, and said that I was a gentle, sometimes shy 3-year-old boy, and I got along fine with her ferret (not too many cats can say that!), and loved to play fetch with rolled up receipt paper (there’s a cheap toy for you!). Although I’m not a “cuddler,” I do like to be near you, have impeccable house manners and, in my own special Siamese way, will undoubtedly add that “something special” you’ve been missing to your life.

Hi… my name is Jinx.

I was adopted July 10, 2014.

There’s some confusion as to whether I’m a Ragdoll or a Snowshoe Siamese, but if you’re familiar with either breed, you’ll know that we’re totally awesome, sweet felines, so you get the best of both worlds with me! My family consisted of mom, dad, two dogs and two kids (ages 8 and 10), and everyone agreed that I’m a real sweetheart and a lover (and also chatty if you’re feeling lonely!). My problem is that I occasionally didn’t use my litter box, but I’m pretty sure that my fastidious feline ways would come to the fore in no time in a new environment (and maybe with a watchful eye for a bit?). I’m only 4 years old, so I’ve got lots of time ahead of me to become “Patti Perfect,” and I’m hopeful that you’ll give me that chance!

Hi… my name is London.

Adopted October 6, 2014.

When my siblings, Madrid, Paris, and I arrived at TALGV we were only a few days old. Our mother was killed by dogs in Nogales while trying to lure them away from us, so we were truly lucky when the owner of the house saved us and brought us here. Then we were doubly lucky because there were two foster dads who could take turns feeding us every two hours (‘round the clock!) for weeks until we were old enough to make it on our own. So after all that human attention, you have to know what sweet, thankful, people-loving kids we are now! I’ve grown into a delightful, friendly, and very active girl, and all I want in life is another human or two to spend my life with!

Hi… my name is Ceazar.

Adopted with Maxine on May 16, 2015

My mom and dad are getting a divorce and mom had to move to an apartment, and then to top it all off, dad lost his house, so there was no room for my lifetime companion, Maxine, and me to stay with either of them. I’m  housebroken, leash trained, and get along with other dogs and cats (but kids notsomuch). I’m in great health (but I come with TALGV’s “Vet Care for Life” program anyway!), am gentle and obedient, and know lots of commands. I get a little carsick sometimes and those summer thunderstorms make me anxious, but other than that, I’m the perfect, laid-back companion. Since I’ve always lived with and depend on Maxine, TALGV has agreed that we should go to a new home together.  My mom said that I’m a mellow, well-mannered fellow who just needs a quiet home where I can be your new best friend.

Ceazar and Maxine come with TALGV’s Vet Care for Life program.

Arrived February 24, 2014

Hi… my name is Dieter.

Adopted April 5, 2014.

If “people friendly, high energy, good walker, and loves toys” appeals to you in a little (16-pound) canine friend, then I’m just made for you! I was found with a very bad neck wound by a Good Samaritan who brought me to TALGV right away and they zoomed me over to a vet to be cared for. I’m happy to tell you that all is well now (I am really happy to be out of the “e-collar” that I had to wear for a while!), and I’m now actively (literally!) looking for a family where I can hunker down and get on with a normal “best friend” kind of life. I’m about a year old, and a delightful mix of Dachshund and something else, and I know that you’ll celebrate the day you take me home and make me part of your life for years to come!
