Hi… my name is Ceazar.

Adopted with Maxine on May 16, 2015

My mom and dad are getting a divorce and mom had to move to an apartment, and then to top it all off, dad lost his house, so there was no room for my lifetime companion, Maxine, and me to stay with either of them. I’m  housebroken, leash trained, and get along with other dogs and cats (but kids notsomuch). I’m in great health (but I come with TALGV’s “Vet Care for Life” program anyway!), am gentle and obedient, and know lots of commands. I get a little carsick sometimes and those summer thunderstorms make me anxious, but other than that, I’m the perfect, laid-back companion. Since I’ve always lived with and depend on Maxine, TALGV has agreed that we should go to a new home together.  My mom said that I’m a mellow, well-mannered fellow who just needs a quiet home where I can be your new best friend.

Ceazar and Maxine come with TALGV’s Vet Care for Life program.

Arrived February 24, 2014

Hi… my name is Dieter.

Adopted April 5, 2014.

If “people friendly, high energy, good walker, and loves toys” appeals to you in a little (16-pound) canine friend, then I’m just made for you! I was found with a very bad neck wound by a Good Samaritan who brought me to TALGV right away and they zoomed me over to a vet to be cared for. I’m happy to tell you that all is well now (I am really happy to be out of the “e-collar” that I had to wear for a while!), and I’m now actively (literally!) looking for a family where I can hunker down and get on with a normal “best friend” kind of life. I’m about a year old, and a delightful mix of Dachshund and something else, and I know that you’ll celebrate the day you take me home and make me part of your life for years to come!

Hi… my name is Drake.

Adopted December 31, 2014.

If I were to put a “personals” ad in the paper, it would be “big, strong guy looking for big, strong guy (or gal!) to spend quality time with.” My family adopted me as a puppy and was sure they’d have time for my education, but with two small kids growing up, it didn’t happen that way, and my training sessions got left in the dust (of the back yard!). I’m a big galoot of a guy, but I’m all happiness and energy, and that’s why I need someone who is familiar with Staffies and our personality. My people said, “Drake has a lot of potential – he means well, we just don’t have the time to teach him. We are trying to do the right thing by giving him an opportunity for a fulfilled life.” There’s no doubt in my mind that with confident leadership that includes consistent rules and cheerful praise, I’ll be one totally awesome companion!

Hi… my name is Fluff.

I was adopted from TALGV by a couple who had another cat and two dogs. We got along pretty well for a while (okay, I wasn’t nuts about the cat!) but then, for some reason my people and I just didn’t “hit it off” any more. I know that I would the perfect companion for a real “cat person” – someone who knows that sometimes cats enjoy petting and sometimes they don’t. I am a striking, middle aged longhaired, buff gentleman who can be animated and confident, but still like my own space now and then (as lots of humans do!). I would love a home where my person and I can share our lives, both of us doing “our thing” spending quality time together and then just sitting around and contemplating life’s mysteries. If you are one of those exceptional people who has an affinity for special felines like me, then I think we might be great partners in life!
