Animal League News

Hi… my name is Queen Bee,

Adopted 8-1-23

I used to live outdoors in Patagonia, Arizona. I was a calm, good mouser. That is a dangerous life for “sweet little-old-me!” I was brought to The Animal League where I have been privileged to be mama to some darling kittens, “the Honey Litter.”  I also helped nurse some other foster kittens to health.  The volunteers said I was an excellent mama! I appreciated their praise, but enough is enough. I am ready to enjoy my own home with my own humans. I’m resting up in a comfortable cat bed  just waiting for you to meet me. Look closely! I’m a lovely calico. Listen! I have a sweet meow. I could be yours. What do you say?

Hi… my name is Turvy,

Adopted with Topsy 6-3-23

Mama was a wild one, giving birth to me and my brother Topsy in a garage—then she disappeared.  Thankfully the garage owner brought us to The Animal League. Not being used to an indoor environment yet, I’m a little shy—but I want to adjust. I can be petted and will play. My coat is a pretty mixture of colors, which is set off by my big coppery eyes. I’m looking for a safe home (no more garages!) where I can let my true colors shine through. How about coming by to meet me?

Hi… my name is Mimosa,

Adopted with Trixie 11-15-22

I am a beauty with a personality to match! I’m a great companion who will follow you everywhere, and I love sitting in laps and being petted. I love to be brushed (and I need that.) Can you tell that I love attention? I love to sit and look out the window. I may try to go outside, but that’s a no-no! I will sleep anywhere, but I prefer to nap next to my human. I’ve lived with my best friend Trixie my entire life. We are a bonded pair that must be adopted together. I have also lived with a small dog. How about it? Won’t you please come meet Trixie and me?

Hi… my name is Abigail,

Adopted 8-1-22

You know how most cats hate water don’t you? Well, the volunteers said that when they gave me a much-needed bath and brushing out, I purred the whole time! Maybe it’s just that I wanted attention so badly that I was grateful for anything! My young mom brought me and my real mom and her new kittens into TALGV to save us because her landlord was threatening to abandon us in the desert (he was definitely not a cat person!), so we’re all mighty thankful for that! I’ve had a bit of a rough time in my short life, but I’m hopeful I can now get on with the business of just being the playful companion I’m meant to be. Won’t you give me a chance to do just that?

Hi… my name is Daphne.

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

Well, you sure wouldn’t know that I’m a 14-year-old by looking at me! I’m a petite, vocal lady who lost her dad because he had to move into a “no pets allowed” assisted living facility. Some of my favorite things are rubbing noses, purring, and getting all the attention you up for giving. OK, I’ve lost a few teeth along the way (haven’t we all?), but it doesn’t hinder my eating one bit (I like Friskies shreds and Purina kibble). I’m hyperthyroid, so need a pill a day, but I have Vet Care Support for Life for other stuff “just in case.” My “golden years” are just starting so won’t you share them with me?

Hi… my name is Maggie.

Adopted 11-9-20

You can’t go wrong with a calico. So say I (and lots of head-over-heels-in-love-with-calicos folks!). Plus, I’m a Manx (well, I don’t have a tail, so if not the “real thing,” close enough!). I was rescued from an area where lots of cats roamed free and relied on the kindness of strangers for food, so it’s just awesome to be here where food and water are just brought to you without begging for them (who knew places like this existed?)! Anyway, I’m a lovely approximately 2-year-old girl who’d simply love to share my days and nights relaxing with you in a quiet home where there’s nothing to go boom in the night to scare me.
