Hi… my name is Star Baby,

Adopted 8-13-23

I’m a sweet, friendly, and affectionate Schnauzer mix. If there was a show “Dancing with the Dogs,” I could be a contestant! I can stand, walk, jump, twirl, and dance on my hind legs…alone or with a partner. I understand “sit,” “let’s go,” “no,” and “car.” I’m potty trained (to doggy door) and crate trained (sleeps in at night). Sometimes if I’m hesitant to go in, I can be bribed with peanut butter in a Kong. I’ll need a wall at least five feet high and some basic training to teach/correct behaviors, like jumping. I don’t know about cats, but I get along with other dogs and would probably do well in a family with a dog. After we meet and I’ve danced my way into your heart, let’s waltz straight home!

Hi… my name is Lovey,

Adopted 8-13-23

I’m an affectionate, female Schnauzer mix, a.k.a. “Lovey Dovey.”  I’m smart and understand the meanings of “sit,” “no,” “car,” “come on,” and “let’s go.” I’m potty trained (to doggy door) and crate trained (sleeps in at night). If I sometimes get hesitant about going in, I can be bribed with peanut butter in a Kong. I’ve discovered that I don’t like cats, but I’ve been good with other dogs and would probably do well with a family. I’ll need some basic training to teach/correct behaviors like jumping. On the subject of jumping, I will need a wall/fence over 5 feet high. Something I forgot to mention! I can stand and walk on my hind legs… but you’ll still need to give me a ride home because I’ve got short legs!

Adopted 5-14-23

Scout is a smart and playful 15-pound, 9-year-old male terrier mix that needs a new home. He is housebroken (asks to go out), leash trained, and obedience trained (knows sit, stay, come, and “go get your fox toy”). He has not been with other dogs, is okay with most cats, and small children are not his friends. Scout has been neutered and is up to date with shots (medical records available). He is a sweet boy that is food motivated, loves attention, and prefers not to be left alone. He loves meeting new people and enjoys hiking and playing fetch. There is no adoption fee for this special boy. If you are home most of the time and will welcome Scout into a loving home as part of your family, please call Ryan weekdays after 5 PM or weekends at 517-410-2462.

Hi…my name is Stewie,

Adopted with Doc 7-1-23

My pal Doc and I have shared lots of happy times, but recently we were sad because our person died.  Fortunately, our TALGV friends are now helping us find our new happy home together. Doc’s the big guy and I’m the little one, a Shih Tzu mix male, sometimes shy at first, but I can warm up quickly.  I’ll be asking for your affection before you know it, probably by standing on my hind legs and looking as cute as I can. Doc and I are leashed-trained, have been good when left home alone, and let it be known when it was time to go outside. Please know that Doc and I need to be adopted together as only pets. If you agree that life is best when shared, we’d love to be yours.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Tank,

Adopted with Nubia 11-10-22

Nubia and I have been together since we were born. Although we are siblings, I am almost twice her size and have always made sure she was okay. You know: protect her from strangers, snuggle at night, and play with her. But it doesn’t mean that we don’t like to snuggle with our people. On the contrary! I, for one, prefer sleeping in a real bed over one made for dogs. It just takes the two of us a bit to warm up, especially with all the back and forth recently. But as everyone here can tell you, if you give us a little space when you first arrive, I will check you out and soon Nubia and I will be your best friends. Best Friends Forever, if you ask our preference!

Hi… my name is Nubia,

Adopted with Tank 11-10-22

My brother Tank and I have been together since we were born. Although we are siblings, he is almost twice my size and has always made sure I was okay. He is a great protector and I like to play with him. But it doesn’t mean that we don’t like to snuggle with our people. On the contrary! Tank prefers to sleep in bed with our people and I love sitting on laps! It just takes the two of us a bit to warm up, especially with all the back and forth recently. Hi… my name is Snickers,

Adopted 10-6-22

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’m a sweet little treat, just like my name:  Snickers! My two previous owners both said I was the sweetest, most loving dog they’ve ever had. I was brought here because neither could take care of me any more. I’m told I’m a Poodle mix, which means I’m smart and love to sit on laps. I’m good with just about everybody – cats, dogs, kids, and adults. Give me a box of toys and I’ll dive in head first, entertaining you with my antics. I’m 12, have Vet Care Support for Life, and am house-trained but have a little dribble problem. I can’t help it due to a birth defect that affects my plumbing. It never dampens my joyful spirit, though, and I’m happiest being at home, cuddling up with my humans. I just need to find “home” again.
