Hi… my name is Lula (aka Libra),

Adopted 3-1-20

When I was only nine weeks old, I was brought to TALGV with my four “litter-sisters,” and we were all adopted. Now that I’m back, I would like to tell you a little about myself. In my previous home there were five children, ranging in ages from 1 to 13. There were also two other dogs and although I got along well with one of them, for some reason, not the other. It was reported that I’m leash and crate trained. My former family said I’m loving, playful, loyal, and know how to listen. I also know the commands “sit,” “stay,” and “down.” I’m just a three-year-old- girl that needs a lot of love along with positive reinforcement. Now you know my story, please come in and meet me, and maybe I can become part of your story.

Hi… my name is Tinkerbell,

Adopted 11-24-19

As my name implies, I’m light as a fairy and will bring magic into your life. Why magic? Because my calm, loving presence can turn a bad day into one that uplifts your spirits! I’m a warm little bundle of terrier who’s content lying in your lap, having my silky coat stroked. I don’t know how, but I got lost from home and thankfully was rescued and brought here. There are so many volunteer laps to feel safe in! Sometimes I stand up on my hind legs and wrap my fuzzy paws around the neck of whoever is cuddling me. They laugh when I go nose to nose! If you have a dream of a little one who loves you forever, let me work my magic on you and make your dream come true!

Hi… my name is Kole (aka Cherry Bomb),

Adopted with Blaze 9-17-19

There were twelve of us—6 young dogs and 6 newborn puppies—left in an abandoned house without food or water in triple-digit heat. Then a door opened. A woman had heard us. She was our first hero, and there would be many more. Indeed, we were in such dire straits that the rescue activity at TALGV by so many people—busy with fluids, cooling, nourishment, whatever we needed—is a bit of a blur. What I know for sure is that our lives were saved that day. Now we each have a future—a chance to thrive, play, give and receive love. I’m a  Poodle mix male, black, and I’m sure you understand why I’m so ready for a carefree, fun, happy life in a comfy, loving home with you!

Hi… my name is Bubbles,

Adopted 5-19-19

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

A warm breeze, a soft bed, a loved one nearby—“these are a few of my favorite things.” Born in June 2008, I’m in my golden years, which means—among other things—I come with Free Vet Care for Life! And I still possess a dog’s gift for living in the moment. A walk—even inside the house—makes me happy, I love being petted, spending time on an enclosed porch, and fully admit to frequent napping. A few times I’ve been grouchy about putting on my leash and since my former people will be traveling, they didn’t want to leave me with someone else. So I need a new permanent home—a comfy place where I can quietly spend my golden days with someone to love forever. Could that wonderful someone be you?

Hi… my name is Irwin,

Adopted 7-10-18

When our person moved and didn’t have room for dogs anymore, I didn’t have to be alone because I’m with Socks! She’s my best canine buddy and in her very sweet way, she looks out for me. (I like to think I taught her everything she knows, but that’s a secret.) In appearance, we’re rather different. I’m smaller and older—a 22-pound, 13-1/2-year-old, black and white Rat Terrier male, and Socks is a beautiful 78-pound, 7-year-old, tan and white Labrador mix female. We’re both housebroken, accustomed to sharing our lives with people, and tend to be calm and gentle, enjoying a peaceful way of life. But we’re eager, too—watching and hoping for that special someone new to love, this time forever. Could you please double your pleasure and love both Socks and me?

Oh, and by the way, we both come with Free Vet Care for Life, so that’s just one more incentive to love us!

Hi… my name is Uncle Gus,

Adopted with Olive 4-15-18

Double your pleasure, double your fun, adopt a bonded pair, two for one.

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

Olive and I are best friends who want to be adopted together, so please let me tell you why. Before Olive, I was seriously lonely. Due to a human family illness, I’d been confined to the back yard for a year, where I became sad and withdrawn. Then I met Olive, who wasn’t needed as a helper dog anymore, so she needed a companion. Perfect! I don’t like being alone, and thanks to Olive I never have to be! And if you’re our person, you never need to worry about your dog being lonely because Olive and I always have each other! I’m a 12-year-old, small gray male; Olive is a 10-year-old small-to-medium female, and we both have Free Vet Care for Life. All we need now to be happy forever is you!
