Hi… my name is Godiva,

Adopted December 22, 2015

“She loves my kids and is the sweetest thing.” That’s what the woman who found me told TALGV, and the volunteers agree wholeheartedly that I’m sweetness on four paws. I’d been lost when I wandered into that lady’s garage, so I was relieved to find a kind stranger. And now, after being a little shy at first, the real me is shining through—friendly, glad for company and to go on walks, and very tuned in to people who give me some attention, which means I’ll be eager to make you happy, too. I’m young, 18 months old, mainly chocolate brown with some white, and a nice medium-size Boxer mix female. I’d be a great addition to most households, so how about yours? Could be the best place for us is together!

Hi… my name is Noel,

Adopted December 16, 2015

There’s no nice way to say this: My brothers and sisters and I were dumped. We were left out in the cold and filth with only each other for comfort, lucky to get food from a kind stranger. I don’t want to think what might have happened if TALGV hadn’t come to our rescue. Thankfully, the vet who examined us said we are remarkably healthy. Also, the volunteers think I probably had some okay human interaction before being abandoned because I’m comfortable with humans. I’m a 3-year-old Chihuahua mix male, 14 pounds, chocolate brown and white with speckles. Imagine how grateful I’ll be for a comfy, carefree home with someone who’ll love and care for me forever. I’ll be the best little companion you could want! Won’t you take me home today?

Hi… my name is Bagheera.

Adopted November 6, 2015

When you saw my name did you remember that that was the name of the Black Panther in Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book? Well, don’t feel alone, my biographer didn’t either! I had a “behavior problem” when my family’s new baby arrived because I’d been happy with the status quo (except that the resident Alaskan Malamute scared the dickens out of me!), so everyone agreed that in a quiet, dog- and kid-free home I’d revert to my former perfect habits. I’m an extraordinary “chocolate” lady (that coloring is rare and highly-sought-after in the cat world apparently!), am declawed and have lovely golden eyes to set off my coat. I’ve been waiting here a while now, so won’t you please take a chance on me?

Hi… my name is Red Velvet.
Adopted August 29, 2015

I’m such a nice guy, you just know I’ve gone down some happy trails. But, somewhere along the line, I also became acquainted with that awful word “lost.” Lucky for me, I was eventually found—hard to miss at 98 pounds—and brought to TALGV. Those who’ve met me say that I am well trained (I like to think I’m what humans call “smart,”) and just naturally easy-going. I’m a handsome chocolate brown Lab mix, and at 6 years of age I’m not a pup anymore, but I’m glad to say that lots of humans are fine with that. If you are one of those people, please come for a visit. If you’ll let me, I would love to join you on that happiest trail of all – the one that leads to home.

Hi… my name is KoKoa.

Adopted May 5, 2015

My best friend and soul mate, Kasey, and I have to find a new home because our family outgrew theirs and had to move to a rental that didn’t allow cats. My mom said that I was her talkative kitty who will let you know when I need something (like food or attention!) and don’t usually give up until I get it! She also said that in return (I’m not an “all one way” guy!), I love to give massages in “random places,” but mostly if we’re on the couch, I give great neck rubs! I’m a declawed seal point Siamese gentleman, who’s hoping to stay with Kasey in my next home, so with the offer of love and massages, how can you go wrong?

Hi… my name is Honey.

Adopted with Kek December 9, 2014.

Life sure does have its ups and downs! One minute life can be a regular “bowl of Friskies” and the next things change just like that. My mom passed away on Thanksgiving Day and since there was no one in the family to take my brother, Kek, and me in, we’re back at TALGV hoping we can share our special brand of Siamese love with someone else. My mom’s daughter said that I love to play with toys, sleep in bed and sit on the sofa with you (if you’ll let me), and doing all those things we felines are known for (like putting my paw RIGHT ON the spot you’re reading!). I’m a 4-year-old lady who’d simply love to start a new journey in life with you (and Kek too please)!

Hi… my name is Fuzzy.

Adopted August 31, 2015

You might guess from my age that I’m not looking for a lot of “action” in my life any longer! I lived with my senior mom all my life and when she went into assisted living, she gave me to a neighbor in hopes she could keep me, but the resident dogs made that impossible. I’m a very quiet and laid back seal point Siamese gentleman (so I come with Free Vet Care for Life), and all my dreams (and my waking hours too!) are filled of visions of spending my golden years with someone as peaceful and agreeable as I am. Like fine wine, I’ve been “aged to perfection” so why not take advantage of my “elder experience” and share that seasoning with me?

Hi… my name is Clyde,

Adopted 11-13-17

Clyde earned his Canine Good Citizen certificate on February 9, 2016.

I arrived at TALGV in August of 2014, and I’ve learned a lot since then! Now, my TALGV friends are proud to announce that I have earned my AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate. I know all the special commands, can be left alone without whining, and will let my people brush and handle me when asked. I’m an exuberant guy and truly love my walks, usually trotting right next to my human, but I need a strong person on the other end of my leash, someone who’s even better trained than I am! A handsome chocolate and white Staffie mix, I’ve lots of love to give the one who’ll continue to teach me on a regular basis—I love attention. Are you out there? If it’s you, please come see me soon!
