Hi… my name is Smokey.

I was adopted on August 4, 2014.

When my mom moved recently, she couldn’t afford the deposit they wanted for her to keep me, so although I don’t take up much space, am quiet as can be (I can “pussyfoot” with the best of them!), I had to go. She adopted me from a friend a year ago, and said that I was a gentle, sometimes shy 3-year-old boy, and I got along fine with her ferret (not too many cats can say that!), and loved to play fetch with rolled up receipt paper (there’s a cheap toy for you!). Although I’m not a “cuddler,” I do like to be near you, have impeccable house manners and, in my own special Siamese way, will undoubtedly add that “something special” you’ve been missing to your life.

Hi… my name is Bebe.

Adopted with Slick on October 30, 2014.

There was a whole gang of us felines living at our mom’s home and we were all enjoying life to the fullest. Then our world collapsed when she died, and we all had to be rounded up so we could come here to find new homes. To say that I was pretty frightened would be an understatement, but at heart I’m a very friendly critter, so it won’t be terribly long before my old personality will come shining through. I’m a lovely 12-month-old Siamese girl who likes to play with my siblings (especially Slick, whom I should be adopted with), and I love to be brushed, so all I need is patience and love, and I’ll be my old lovable self in no time.

Hi… my name is Cream.

I was adopted on March 19, 2014.

My girlfriend (and maybe sister), Peaches, and I were snatched from the middle of Frontage Road near Los Arroyos just in the nick of time before being hit by a car. To say that we were frightened is the understatement of the year, but now that we’ve been brought to safety at TALGV, we’re beginning to show our gratitude for that rescue by coming out of shells more each day. We’re tiny, “sort of” wire-haired terrier mix girls (with maybe a wee bit of Mexican hairless thrown in?), and it would be so wonderful if we could stay together in a new home. I can pretty much promise that we will be “Velcro” dogs because neither of us wants to ever have to deal with such trauma again! Won’t you make our dreams come true by giving us a new lease on life?

Hi… my name is Stitch.

I was adopted May 10, 2014.

I was just a wee kitten a year ago when my little family adopted me. Everyone had a grand time watching me grow up and life was a bed of roses until a new baby arrived a few months ago. I got along great with their 3-year-old and the two resident dogs, but I guess the addition of one more critter (who seemed to be getting WAY more attention than I was!) diverted me from the straight and narrow and my exemplary behavior changed. So here I am — looking for that special place in life where I can “have it all” as they say! I’m a handsome (and I DO come when you call me that!) flamepoint Siamese mix boy who loves cat toys (especially balls), and although I’m fairly shy (maybe because of all the action?) I’m sure if you’ll give me one more chance to prove myself, you won’t be disappointed!

Hi… my name is Nova.

Adopted December 7, 2014.

Our rescuer found my sister, Lucy, and I a few months ago, and although he thought we’d make a great addition to his home, his resident cats had VERY different ideas! So, well, you know the rule: last in/first out! Although both of us love to play and once you hold us, we purr up a storm, it’s evident that our formative weeks didn’t include a lot of love from humans, so we are a little shy when we first meet you. The solution to that of course, is to shower us with love and attention and prove to us how sweet and caring people really can be. I’m an interesting mix of Siamese and something else — the Siamese coming to the fore in my blue eyes — so you know that when I’m grown, I’m going to be a lover just like my forebears. I just know that’s what you want in a companion!

Hi… my name is Castle.

Thank goodness for TALGV’s Community Outreach Program! A woman confined my friend, Sandy, and me in a cage with no food or water for five days until her neighbor rescued us. We were in bad shape when she first took us in, but she cleaned us up and fed us well, so it didn’t take long for us to get back to our old selves. She would have kept us, but she already had a few other pets that weren’t ecstatic about our arrival, so it was Outreach to the rescue! I’m a young, super-handsome, flame point Siamese boy  (we’re not all that common you know, so I’m pretty special in lots of ways!), and my rescuer said that I was good with cats and dogs, and really loved people. I know it won’t take long for me to forget my past once I find my new home, so why not help me do just that?

Hi… my name is Drake.

Adopted December 31, 2014.

If I were to put a “personals” ad in the paper, it would be “big, strong guy looking for big, strong guy (or gal!) to spend quality time with.” My family adopted me as a puppy and was sure they’d have time for my education, but with two small kids growing up, it didn’t happen that way, and my training sessions got left in the dust (of the back yard!). I’m a big galoot of a guy, but I’m all happiness and energy, and that’s why I need someone who is familiar with Staffies and our personality. My people said, “Drake has a lot of potential – he means well, we just don’t have the time to teach him. We are trying to do the right thing by giving him an opportunity for a fulfilled life.” There’s no doubt in my mind that with confident leadership that includes consistent rules and cheerful praise, I’ll be one totally awesome companion!
