Hi… my name is Agatha.

Adopted October 15, 2014.
Since I arrived at TALGV, I have discovered that sitting on volunteers’ laps is quite nice, especially since I love to be brushed and have my forehead and ears scratched.  I also think watching the “birds and the bees” (and whatever else moves!) doing their respective things from a window or porch is simply heaven on earth. (I had an Arizona room in my old home that was my favorite spot.) Mom and dad moved to a townhome in South Carolina that I guess didn’t allow pets, so I’m back at my old alma mater after four years hoping I can find a quiet person or couple who have space in their lives (and hearts!) for me. I’m a beautiful golden brown, golden-eyed, tabby lady and I’m hoping that my ultimate home is right around the corner.

Hi… my name is Arroya.

Yes, I know, the Spanish word is “arroyo,” but since I’m a girl, it got changed “Arroya” just to be gender correct! Whatever the name, though, I’m one sweet, little girl who is  going to be a fairly good-sized gal when I’m grown. When I arrived at TALGV I was one sick little puppy I can tell you, but they’ve taken super good care of me, and now I’m all healthy again and ready to move on with my life with an active family. I’m an utterly delightful and sweet shepherd mix with HUGE ears (I’ll probably grow into them, but it might take a while!) and my foster mom says that I walk nicely on a leash, am “on my way” to house training, and she’s absolutely sure that I’ll be the star of obedience class. So why not “make your year” by making me yours?

Hi… my name is Honey.

I was adopted May 25, 2014.

My dad went into a memory care facility and my long-time girlfriend, Harleigh, and I were left alone in our home for several weeks. We had a yard and a doggie door and a neighbor who came to feed us, but we were still awfully lonely so were really glad when TALGV came to our rescue. We’re living with a foster mom at the moment, and she really thinks it is important that we be adopted together because we’ve become so dependent on each other. I’m a plus-size collie/Chow mix lady who, despite my size, loves to cuddle and give kisses. I’m on a Jennie Craig diet at the moment, so when I get back down to a “misses” size, I’ll be able to snuggle with you even more! Harleigh and I are both housebroken, good with kids, and just generally a laid-back girls, so I know that we’d be a great addition to any family.
