Animal League News

Hi… my name is Sushi,

Adopted 2-18-24

I am over-the-top adorable! Just come and see! I’m adjusting to the upheaval in my previous home.  My human unfortunately could not keep her pets so along with several other cats, I was brought to The Animal League where we received the best of care. My kitten and I were placed in foster care, but sadly my little one could not thrive so passed away. I’m on my own now, awaiting my new home. If you want a sweet little lady, you must meet me! I’m gentle and quiet. I need love, patience, and care—I’d be happy just to be with you! At my young age, we could make so many memories. Ready?

Hi… my name is Sprout,

Adopted 2-10-24

Guess how I got my name? OK, that’s too easy—I was found in the parking lot at Sprouts! Believe it or not, I walked up to a nice man hoping to warm up on the hood of his car. He was able to bring me to The Animal League and says I was very friendly.  The volunteers here say the same thing. I was well taken care of somewhere, but now I need a new somewhere! You can pick me up, brush me, pet me, the works. I just need to be kept inside. I have a fluffy tabby coat with white on my face and chest. Won’t you come meet me?

Hi… my name is Kay Kay,

Rainbow Bridge 2-8-24

I’m not retired from giving love. Just come to meet me at The Animal League. You will find me ready to receive your pets and affectionate words. I lived with my human mom almost my entire life. I miss her, but she could no longer care for me so I’m ready to be loved by another person. I love to be brushed so my fur coat doesn’t mat. I’m a good eater, even on my special diet. I come with Vet Care Support for Life which will help with certain medical care. I’m a sweet, gentle lady who desires a person who will embrace the future with me. Is that you?

Ace

Hi… my name is Ace,

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION WITH BONDED COMPANION ARIEL.

It’s no wonder my bonded companion Ariel and I were shy and fearful when we arrived at The Animal League. Rescued from a motel in Oklahoma City by a kind lady who fostered us for a while, I got along with adults and resident cats, but no dogs or children ever visited. Playing with small toys and laser lights was fun. I appreciate volunteers who pet and brush me. I’m a mellow fellow who enjoys snuggling in my cat bed for naps. A handsome lad, my fur coat markings with plumed tail will win you over! Ariel and I are ready to cuddle in your home. Please meet us!

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet Ariel and me soon. Or you may  call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Pop

Hi… my name is Pop,

Adopted 1-22-24

Hi!  I’m Pop, as in Snap and Crackle. If you’re too young to know, that’s Rice Krispies. Anyway, I was adopted as a kitten after being found in a shed with my two siblings. I have had a couple of homes that I shared with other pets—we all realize now that I need to be an only pet! I can get jealous and act up. Oh, and I need a litter box with high sides.  Anyway, I like brushing, petting and scratching; and I’m energetic and playful. I sport the classic grey tabby striped coat, which is particularly handsome. Why not come take a look? I would love to be your one-and-only.

Hi… my name is Tinsel,

Adopted 1-24-24

Wow, I’ve had a tough time. I was hit by a car (probably) which left me with broken bones and torn tendons in my legs. I was out on my own, so it didn’t heal right and I’m left with a limp. I also became malnourished. A nice lady found me and thankfully was able to overcome my skittishness to bring me to The Animal League. Lucky for me, because they gave me medical care and food—and affection. I like brushing and petting. Maybe because of my legs, I spend lots of time lying down, and I’m mellow. I have a beautiful striped grey coat with white and handsome green eyes.

Hi… my name is Josette,

Adopted with Sasha 1-31-24

My first home was with a nice man. I was just a kitten and Sasha, my roommate, became like a mother to me. There was also a dog.  Unfortunately, dad got sick, and I was like his guard cat. I tried to comfort him by putting my head in his hand. He passed away, so now Sasha and I are looking for another good home. I like to hang out on a high perch and am not too comfortable with strangers. However, I think the right human could win me over as long as I have Sasha beside me. I like to sleep and play with her, and we groom each other. Come meet us!

Hi… my name is Fazoli,

Adopted 12-11-23

When I was a kitten, mom was moving and couldn’t take all her pets. I came to The Animal League with a bunch of my roommates and I was adopted by a nice family. I got along with the kids and a dog, and they say I’m gentle and like to play. However, some of my humans had allergies and so I’m back here looking for a new place to call home. I don’t usually like to be held but I do like to sleep on a bed. I have many years to make your home more fun. Come meet me! To seal the deal just bring some kind of toy, and I’ll be yours.

Hi… my name is Mindy,

Adopted 12-27-23

At my young age I know the meaning of the word “unwanted.” Along with another cat I was dropped off in a parking lot to fend for myself. So rude!  Another few miles and I could have come directly to The Animal League. Anyway, I’m here now and getting all the TLC I can stand. I’m a little shy and have been hanging out in a cubby. I do like petting, brushing, and playing. I’m a gray tabby, meaning I have dark stripes over my light gray fur, and my eyes are a pretty light green. Stunning, don’t you think? If you are looking for a sweet girl with good looks, come meet me.

Hi… my name is Mitzi (aka Tigger),

Adopted 3-24-24

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I really thought my last home would be my LAST home. At over 14 years old, I lost my human and I’m trying to get used to my new situation. Here I’ve been a little shy, and after a little petting, I’ve had enough. The volunteers say I’m a “talker.” My humans said I like to sleep in their bed, but I don’t like to be held. I definitely don’t get along with dogs or other cats. What I need now is a quiet home as your only pet. I’m a grey tabby, and I come with Vet Care Support for Life.  Please help me spend my retirement in peace.
