Hi… my name is Layla,

Adopted 12-10-25

I’m a lot to love! Yes, I’m a tad overweight, but you know how it is: stress eating when the only human I’ve ever lived with was diagnosed with a terminal disease. It was a sad parting. She got me when I was a kitten and named me Hazel. However, since there was already a cat at The Animal League by that name, I became Layla. (I bet I’ll come to you no matter what name you use!) We had such good years together along with another feline. My human mom said I had a sweet disposition but was shy and loved to be brushed. I’m sweetness wrapped in fur, ready to meet you! Please come!

Hi… my name is Quinn,

I moved about a year ago to a place where a new baby has arrived, and the baby is asthmatic so I was given up.  I am good with kids and tolerate dogs too.  They say I loved attention and especially like men.  Here I’m quite vocal, talking and growling depending on my mood.  I’ve had some health issues that were taken care of here and maybe once I’m feeling tip-top again I’ll be a little happier.  All I ask is a warm, safe place to spend my days.  I’m in the senior citizen room here so please look for me there.

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Cantaloupe,

I was a little kitten when I came to The Animal League. All my siblings were adopted. I’ve grown to 13 pounds even though I’m only 10 months old now. I will play with you, but please don’t reach out to touch me. I’m extremely shy and retiring, and I’m still learning to trust people. Could you provide a home where my better qualities can blossom? I have a good relationship with the other cats and kittens here. I was once described as aggressive – could I be an alpha male? They call me Cantaloupe. Can we elope – or just walk down the hall to your home?

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Sami,

Adopted 10-20-25

Originally adopted from The Animal League years ago, I’m back now since my human can no longer care for me. She and I had wonderful times together. She catered to my preference to eat yummy, canned food (Maybe I gobbled up too much; I could use portion control—couldn’t we all?)  She and I had lively conversations; I can be very verbal and very friendly. I so appreciated cuddling with her, especially at bedtime. Having lived with only one human and no other pets, I prefer a quiet home where I can be your center of attention. Would you like to meet me? I’m waiting.

Hi… my name is Butterscotch,

Adopted 12-1-25

I have high hopes to be adopted soon.  Sadly, my human mom could no longer care for me and had to move. So here I am at The Animal League awaiting my new home.  I sport a deep rich caramelized fur coat. (Sort of like blending melted butter and brown sugar.) I love snacking on treats. I love naps. I love to be petted and brushed. I’m your all-around great feline! The sweetest sound I want to hear is from our adopter: “Welcome home, Butterscotch!” How about it? Are you THE one?

Hi… my name is Spike,

Adopted 9-27-25

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’ve been my human’s guardian for years. She wrote: “Spike is a special cat who lived with my daughter until she passed. Then he came to live with me and has been an excellent companion since I’m in hospice. He escorts me around the house. He’s a good eater.  He’ll put his head in your hand to be petted so you hear his purr motor. He loves chasing things. Once he saved me from a rattlesnake inside my home! At night he jumps up on the bed to snuggle. He’s a good boy.” Due to my age,  I come with Vet Care Support for Life.

Hi… my name is Rocky,

Adopted 2-1-26

My name is Rocky, but not Balboa! No boxing gloves here! I’m a mature, friendly medium-haired deep orange tabby cat. I’m waiting at The Animal League for my next human to love. My mom passed and it upset my sense of well-being for quite a while (I loved her deeply and grieved a lot). However, my cat equilibrium has been restored, thanks to the kind and patient volunteers here. I am quite friendly now. I like petting, eating treats, and having visitors. In my previous house, I lived with another cat, two dogs, and a fish. So, I’m quite adaptable. Could you adapt, or adopt, me?

Hi… my name is Juice,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Ah, the life of a stray! Never knowing where my next meal would come from or what other critters were trying to make me their meal. Somehow I survived this and now I’m in seventh heaven, safe and with a full belly. I’m so happy I can’t wait to roll over to purr and have my belly rubbed. I’m a big solid boy, with big paws, orange and white fur. I’d love to find a new home where I can stay safely inside and get regular meals (although judging by my size, I haven’t missed too many). Since I am FIV positive, I come with Vet Care Support for Life. Please come meet me and pet me.
