Hi… my name is Sherlock,

Adopted 9-16-19

You’ve heard the phrase “round Robin Hood’s barn,” meaning to take a circuitous route to get somewhere, and boy that sure applies to my journey to TALGV! A few years ago, when I was thought to be feral (I’m not, quite the opposite!), I was trapped, neutered, ear-tagged, and plunked outside again. Then someone took me in and I had a home, but after a while, it was zap, back outside to fend for myself again. Happily, I was rescued once more, and am here safe now, checking out the competition (there’s lots) and hoping I’ll be the one to catch your eye! You’ve got to be here for me to do that, so get moving!

Hi… my name is Patrick,

Adopted 9-11-19

Given that I’m still a kitten at about 1 year old and would normally be mingling with people and enjoying life, something bad must have really scared me before I was rescued from the streets, ‘cause I’m pretty timid right now. I’m working on it hard though, and the nice people here tell me that everything will be okay if I’m patient and trusting. I’m a handsome little guy and once I discover the “me” that’s meant to be, I’ll make a wonderful companion (and probably stick like glue to you in appreciation for keeping me warm and safe!). Everyone needs a good deed to do, and I hope I might be yours!

Hi… my name is Maxine,

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

Maybe “Squeaks” would’ve been a more apt name for me since that’s pretty much what you hear when I meow! I’m so unhappy right now ‘cause after my mom died there was no one to take me in, and I do so love the company of people. All you need to do is talk in gentle tones (I know my name, so maybe stick with that!), give me a few head and chin scratches, and I’ll be yours (they say I’m “easy”!). As a 10-year-old, I have free vet care (not that I have any health problems except that I’m awfully lonely!), so won’t you fill my days with love and make that loneliness disappear?

FeLV Positive – Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

I am currently in foster care to get some R&R. These are a few of the things I’ve discovered during my foster:

  • I love being around people and I love warm laps! It may take a few days to come out of my shell but when I do, look out!
  • I am without a tail but that doesn’t hinder my mobility! I love to be brushed and I’m extremely handsome, if I do say so myself!
  • I like naps in the sun and I have a very loud purr motor!
  • I love my scratch “wave” and don’t scratch the furniture! I know how to use my litter box whether covered or not!
  • I will tolerate a friendly dog (eventually) and when I do, we will share furniture!
  • Meep! Is my favorite vocalization and I will gladly follow my person for food! I am food motivated and will “Meep” until fed!
  • I am healthy but am FeLV positive, therefore, I have Vet Care Support for Life!

Hi… my name is George,

Adopted 12-16-18

Feeling down? Need some affection? Looking for a companion (or two!) who’ll love you forever? Well, any of my four housemates (and me, of course!) will see that all your dreams come true! Our family lost their home a while ago, and although they tried to find a new place where we could all stay together, there aren’t many landlords who’ll accept multiple felines, so we’re hoping our countless charms will earn us spots in homes where we can continue to share our special brand of love. I’m a 9-year-old orange tabby gentleman who simply adores being by your side exchanging head/chin/ear/body rubs with you – and I promise I give as good as I get!

Hi… my name is Sherman (aka Shermie),

Adopted 10-31-18

I’m really glad they gave me an “alias” ‘cause I sure wasn’t enamored of “Sherman” – it made me sound kind of geeky I thought! Actually, you can call me anything you’d like when you take me home, since I’ll be so happy I’ll answer to anything! The shelter I lived in is closing down, and happily, as space allows, TALGV agreed to take some of us in. The wonderful lady who ran the sanctuary said, “Shermie is a very social and affectionate boy and deserves the opportunity to have his own loving family.” Well, let me second that sentiment! There’s no love like that from a rescued pet, so let me share mine with you!
