Hi… my name is Sherman (aka Shermie),

Adopted 10-31-18

I’m really glad they gave me an “alias” ‘cause I sure wasn’t enamored of “Sherman” – it made me sound kind of geeky I thought! Actually, you can call me anything you’d like when you take me home, since I’ll be so happy I’ll answer to anything! The shelter I lived in is closing down, and happily, as space allows, TALGV agreed to take some of us in. The wonderful lady who ran the sanctuary said, “Shermie is a very social and affectionate boy and deserves the opportunity to have his own loving family.” Well, let me second that sentiment! There’s no love like that from a rescued pet, so let me share mine with you!

Hi… my name is Todd,

Adopted 8-18-18

I suppose It would have been best for all concerned if I’d made more of an effort to get along with the resident cat, but mom said that despite my awesome personality, she had to let me go ‘cause she felt I needed to be an only guy (not sure how I’d do with the ladies though!). She gave me a great review, however, saying, “Todd is a gentle, good-natured boy who likes to stay and sleep in high places. He loves to snuggle next to you, purrs easily, and likes to drink from a tap.” Well, pair those goodies with my youthful joie de vivre and you’ve got the makings of one really special dude!

Hi… my name is Niño,

Adopted with Gorda 5-7-18

Sometimes people think cats don’t need a lot of attention, but I’m here to tell you that my sister, Gorda, and I thrive on it! When our primary “caregiver” went off to college, there wasn’t enough time for us in addition to all the kids and the other cats in the house, so we’d really like a new place to call our own. My people said that I love being petted and hugged, like feather and laser toys, and am extremely warm and loving (oh, and I also really dig avocado!). My sister and I have always been together, so if you’d like a matched pair, it would be wonderful if you’d take us both. But if not, I’ll be happy to have your lap all to myself!

Hi… my name is Dixie,

Adopted 5-13-18

OK, I’ve gotta be honest and say I never met a food morsel I didn’t like, so that’s undoubtedly why I’m, uh, “pleasingly plump!” But just like humans, all you need to do is monitor my intake (yes, calories DO count!), and I’ll slim down in no time. My mom moved to Germany and couldn’t take my friend, Stumpy, and me with her, so we’re here hoping we can stay together in new digs (although I guess we’d fare pretty well on our own, too). Mom said although I’m independent and sometimes shy, I’m very “well behaved,” like to sit on the couch and watch TV with her, and then curl up with her in bed. I don’t do well with dogs or “strange” cats, but if it’s just us, life will be totally grand!

Hi… my name is Romeo,

Adopted 9-9-18

Although I’m definitely the poster boy for “before and after” pictures, trust me, you really don’t want to see the “before!” Due to untreated allergies, when I arrived I’d lost almost all my fur and was scratching myself bloody trying to make it feel better. But the wonderful volunteers treated me for weeks, put me on a special allergy diet (it’s just “regular” food but for guys like me – you people out there with allergies know what I’m talking about!), and now that I’m on the road to recovery, my buff fur is growing back beautifully, and I’m SOOO ready for a human I can rub against just for the pure joy of it. I’m really hoping you’ll be the one to make my new life paradise!
