Hi… my name is Cato,

Seven years I lived with my wonderful mom who just went into assisted living. Seven years that included lots of love, many shared mornings perusing the paper over coffee, afternoons sitting in a chair and helping her knit (THAT was fun!), evenings watching TV, and plenty of other “stuff” to keep me occupied and content. I’m going to miss all that, but I know that given my personality (and superb good looks and loving nature) someone else is going to fill that void in my life just like I’ll do for them. I’ve never been around kids, but I’m guessing I’d be just fine with them. I’m a 7-year-old, longhaired orange and white boy who’ll win your heart in the blink of an eye!

Hi… my name is Cody,

Adopted 11-11-17

Did you know that orange tabbies (aka “marmalades”) are known as the Golden Retrievers of the cat world? Well, actually, I just made that up, but it’s true – ‘cause if we could, we’d wag our bodies just like they do and get out there and love on everyone we meet! And play? Let me tell you! So it’s hard to understand how my owners could have moved away and left me in the yard (especially since I’m declawed!), but maybe they assumed that I’m such a sweetie I’d find a new home in no time. Well I haven’t yet, but that’s because YOU haven’t met me, so make sure your next outing includes a visit to TALGV and see what you’ve been missing!

Hi… my name is Marmalade,

Adopted 10-17-17

You know cat carriers aren’t the most comfortable places to spend much time for ONE full-grown cat -let alone three! But that’s what happened with my friends, Blackberry, Grayson, and me! The cat volunteers found us that way one morning and I can’t BEGIN to tell you how happy we all were to be released! In addition to the cramped quarters, our lovely fur was matted to the skin, so a good grooming just added to the joy of freedom! It’s hard to believe we were abandoned, as all of us are totally delightful, outgoing, people-loving boys who will spend the rest of our lives making YOURS a joy! I’m a 3-year-old orange (surprise!) tabby with so much love to give it’ll just take your breath away!

Hi… my name is Iggy,

Adopted 8-25-17

As you might guess from my size (18 pounds!), my mom said that I “eat anything!” Well, I’m “big boned” too so I “carry it well!” Okay, enough with the weight-related adages, let’s get on to why I’m here! My mom was having some health issues so felt she wasn’t able to care for me any longer (sometimes just cleaning out a litterbox can be hard on people!). I had a housemate and got along pretty well, but in truth, I think I’d rather be top cat, because occasionally I was less than fastidious in my manners. Although I’m basically shy, mom said I love to be petted and have my back scratched and go crazy for catnip anything, so I’m hoping for one more chance to prove I can be your best buddy.

Hi… my name is Blossom,

Quiet, playful, needy, shy – take your pick! Oh, there’s also loving, lovable, and snuggler, too! So no matter what your mood, I’ve pretty much got it covered! My mom lost her home and had to move in with family that were definitely not “cat people,” so she tearfully brought me and my housemate, Sabrina, to TALGV so we could be “rehomed.” When I was just a youngster, I had a severe respiratory problem that necessitated removal of one eye, but my other one sees just fine thank you (I personally think it adds a dash of panache to my already lovely visage!). I’m a 6-year-old girl who “doesn’t like big dogs or any aggressive people or pets” (well, really, who does?), so if you’re a “regular” person, I’m the one for you!

Hi… my name is Amber,

There are just too many homeless cats and not enough shelters or adopters to give them all “happy ending” stories, but TALGV is doing its darndest to see that it can do that for as many as possible! Over the past year, they’ve taken a number of us from a shelter that’s closing and they’ve all been absolutely delightful, outgoing, loving felines. And I’m no exception! When I arrived, I was still nursing my (happily LAST!) litter of kittens, but now that they don’t need me any longer, it’s MY time to shine! I’m not really out of my “cat teens” yet at about a year old, so when you take me home, you can expect energy, curiosity (OK, cat curiosity knows no age!), and love galore!

Hi… my name is Dudley (aka Rusty),

Adopted 5-27-17

There oughta be a law: whenever someone has to go into assisted living, they must bring their best friend with them! I’m going to be lobbying for that, but unfortunately even if passed, it’ll be too late for me! Mom loved me for three of my nine years, and said I was easygoing, affectionate, in good health, and loved to keep her warm at night. I’m sometimes shy with strangers (but you’d never know it by my behavior here!), and sometimes a “picky eater” (yes, lots of cats are picky eaters!), but I was wonderful company for her. It would make her so happy to know that I’d found a new loving home, so why not make her (and my!) dreams come true!

Richie Felix is a small 1-year-old Himalayan mix boy with beautiful long orange hair whose owner has a new job and is unable to spend time with him. He needs a new loving inside home as an only cat, but he loves dogs and children. He weighs 5 pounds, is neutered, has a microchip, and is very healthy; his medical records are available. Richie Felix is very mellow and affectionate, loves to play, and has a sweet personality. He is well behaved for the groomer, and he sleeps in his kennel at night. There is no adoption fee.

If you would welcome Richie Felix into a new loving home, please call Samantha after 4:30 PM at 520-345-1190.

Hi… my name is Bonkers,

Adopted 1-18-17

“Bonkers is amazing with children! My autistic son loved the feel of him and was rough occasionally, but Bonkers was always extremely gentle and would actually allow my son to play with him for hours.” That’s what my people said about me, so I guess you can rightly say I’m a “therapy cat”! My dad also said that I loved laser lights, catnip, and my scratching post (in addition to petting and attention!). Sadly, my humans are divorcing; my mom moved to a no-pets-allowed apartment and dad is a firefighter who works long shifts, so I was left alone for way too long for a big (19-pound!) outgoing guy like me. Wouldn’t the full-on “Bonkers treatment” be something you’d like to come home to every day?
