Hi… my name is Fella,
Adopted June 29, 2016
According to a “cat years calculator” (it’s a rather arcane process I won’t bother to explain!) my 11 years translates to about 61 in humans, so that really isn’t all that old in anyone’s book! My mom, however, was “getting up there” and although she loved me to pieces, when we played, her delicate skin sometimes got scratched so she though it best for me to find a new person to share life’s pleasures. She said that I was a very affectionate and dependent guy who loved to play with my toys and sleep with her. I do best with adults and would prefer being your one and only, so this handsome, declawed, gentleman would love to show you the many charms of orange tabbies! We’re really special you know!

Lao Tzu said, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,” and that’s what has happened for my friends, Mango, Moses, Bookstore, Ben, Petro, and me. Although our starting point wasn’t exactly that far away, we did come quite a distance in order for TALGV to save us from a shelter that is closing. It’s taking us a while to settle in after our long trip, but if you just spend a few minutes with us, you’ll see how much we’re all longing for human companionship and interaction – especially that wonderful ear and chin scratching! And purr? Well, let me tell you! We’re all “yearlings” who have tons of time ahead of us to be able to fill your heart and home with love – one purr at a time.

Adopted with Chase4-1-19
So far, life hasn’t been a big bowl of cream for my brother Chase or me. After our dad died, someone thought they were doing a good deed by leaving us outside and feeding us, but after a few months, we became more defensive, as there were so many threatening things out there. Once upon a time I was a very sweet guy though, and with the help of the volunteers, I’m coming around. I love to be brushed and have my head scratched and will happily take a treat from you, so I’ll bet in a nice quiet home the “old me” will come to the fore. Everyone feels that is would be easier for us to adjust if Chase and I were adopted together, so this is my plea for you to give us a chance!

Adopted December 11, 2015
Since my rescuers had two dogs and a bird and were allergic to cats, it was really grand of them to have kept me for two weeks anyway! But they said that during that time I was very lovable with both adults and kids, so that may have made it a smidge easier! It’s obvious that I’ve been someone’s friend once, since I’m an outgoing guy who loves being “messed with,” and it’s also evident that I’d run into a cactus or something pretty scratchy, as my nose had sores and scratches all over it, but happily they’re healing well now. Practically any cat with orange tabby in it is likely to be “outgoing,” and I’m no exception, so why don’t you make sure that I’m “going out” with you!

Despite my current anxiety about my life’s changes (my mom passed away recently), her daughter said that although I’m a bit shy with people at first, once I get to know you, I’m a real sweetheart and a love. Like many of my breed I can be a smidge independent, too! I’ve been living with my siblings, Lucy and Carlos, and adore them mightily, so staying with one or both of them would be SO nice (and make our transition into a new home a lot easier!). I’m a gorgeous flame point Siamese mix who loved sleeping with my mom at night, so if you’re looking for a bed partner of the feline kind to purr sweet nothings in your ear, I’m your guy!

Read MoreHi… my name is Miss Priss.
Adopted September 7, 2016
I may be named Miss Priss now but there certainly isn’t anything “prissy” about me! Well since my provenance is unknown, who knows, my name might well have been “Lover Girl” at one time! At any rate, for over a year I was roaming the Green Valley neighborhood where I was found, cadging food and water where I could, when a good-hearted lady finally took me in. She said that I was sweet and chatty as could be with her (but not her older cat — that’s why she didn’t keep me), adored being petted and scratched, had “neat litter habits,” and loved catnip toys and treats. So — rest assured that once this Torbie lady overcomes her initial shyness, I’ll be sticking to you like glue!
