Hi… my name is Dolly,

Adopted 11-25-16

I was a surprise guest who brought unexpected gifts. Put another way, I was a stray who appeared in my finders’ yard and proceeded to give birth to five puppies! That was on 5/27, and my babies were all so delightful that our finders kept two of them, while I came to TALGV with the other three. I continue to keep a mama’s eye on the youngsters while here—teaching by example things like how to walk on a leash—but sometimes when people notice how young-looking and svelte I am, they ask if I’m just a pup, too! Well, I’m 2 years old, about 48 pounds, a classy brown, tan and white beauty with countless happy fun-filled days ahead. Won’t you please come visit and see if we might be the perfect match!

Hi… my name is Jack,

Adopted September 16, 2016

It’s hard to look your dapper-best when you’re lost, out on a dusty road, preoccupied with danger and hunger, but somehow I managed! When my rescuer found me, I was a polite little gentleman, ever so grateful for her assistance. Here at TALGV, I’ve made lots of friends thanks to being pleasant with volunteers and visitors alike. They tell me I’m a special fellow, handsome and young, and very charming in my own special way. I’m patient and attentive, have lots of virtues, and one day soon I’ll finally have something else, that special something that everyone wants: A forever home. I’m a little guy—just about 18 pounds, so I could fit easily into a cozy place. And if that place is your heart and home, you’ll have my love in return forever!

Hi… my name is Lupe,

Adopted September 7, 2016

When I was lost on a local frontage road, I didn’t know whether to run as fast as I could, try to find a hiding place, or what? Before I’d solved that conundrum, a stranger came to my rescue. She brought me here, where the first major improvement was my super soft bed, which makes me feel comfy and safe. Next, I started making friends, letting people know that even though I’m little—just over 6 pounds—I enjoy being with them in a BIG way! Walks are good, playtime is fun, and I love to cuddle and listen to the heartbeat of the friend who holds me near. Maybe that friend could be you! I’m a sweet, 3-1/2-year-old Chihuahua mix female, and I promise to fit perfectly into your heart and your life.

Hi… my name is Koda,

Adopted October 1, 2016

People tell me my looks could stop traffic—my striking blue eyes and beautiful black/white/tan coat—and that’s kind of what happened. My rescuer was driving down a Sahuarita street, saw me and stopped to help. Since I had no tags, he used social media to try to find my people, but when no one came for me, he brought me here. He said I was an energetic dog who got along with other dogs at his house, not so much with his cats, and had lots of fun chasing balls. I can jump, too, so need supervision and a high fence when off-leash outside. I’m a 2-year-old Husky mix male, a slender 43 pounds, and through my bright blue eyes I see you and me in our exciting, fun future together.

Hi… my name is Bach,

August 30, 2016

My siblings and I already feel like little champs because we survived one mean experience. We were abandoned in a box—all five of us—and left next to a commercial dumpster. But before you even think about the bad things that might have happened, let’s move on to the important next chapter: We were rescued and brought to TALGV. Timid at first, we were unsure about the big wide world, and then they turned us loose in our run. Yahoo! We started running, wrestling, rolling around; most puppies know how to play, but I like to think we do it with style! I’m one of the boys, tan with a brindle back, 22 pounds and growing, and ready for the gloriously happy experience of meeting you! Won’t you please come see me today!

Hi… my name is Angel,

Adopted September 24, 2016

Here at TALGV, my roommate has been my mom, Blondie, and that’s been so cool for me. I’m just 5 months old and still little—about 17 pounds (and growing), so being with mom has been very reassuring. Plus, she teaches by example. If you come visit, you’ll see that I already know a lot about eating, drinking, playing, napping, and trotting out in the sunshine to watch the world go by. The volunteers say I’m very cute and smart, too, making great progress on leash training, but I think my strong suit is something I’ve always known—how to love. I’ve loved my mom, my siblings, and chances are very good that I’ll love you, too. So what do you say? Could I be your adorable puppy today and your devoted companion forever?
