I’m a proud, young (dare I say handsome) Staffie mix boy who’s going to tell you a little about myself. I’m a patient, friendly chap. My knowledge of basic commands is fairly impressive: “sit,” “wait,” “let’s go,” and “leave it,” and with your help I’d like to continue my education. I’m a “great leash walker”(according to one of my handlers). I’m easy to leash into my appointed walking gear, heel very nicely, walk comfortably on a loose leash, and don’t pull. Cars going by don’t faze me, and I was non-reactive to my noisy canine neighbors when I passed their kennels. Mesquite

I am part of a litter of six who came to TALGV when we were only four weeks old. Thankfully, we were very well taken care of by foster parents who fed us, kept us warm, and, most importantly, loved us. We are now ready to find our forever homes. I am the only brown pup in a littler of black siblings. I love to explore (I once tried the cover on the swimming pool…) and was the first to follow “mom” outside to go potty. She says that’s very good for someone as young as me! Like all puppies, I love to give puppy kisses. Can you come to cuddle so I can give you some and then you take me home?

When I first arrived at TALGV, I was a happy bouncing puppy. I’m back…and I’m a big boy now, and once again I’m looking for a home…my forever home. There were no children in my former residence, just a dog and two cats. Even though I didn’t appear aggressive, I admit I chased and barked at the cats. I asked to go potty, and when my people left me alone, I stayed in my crate (at night it became my bedroom). I know the commands “sit,” “stay,” “wait,” “outside,” “in the house,” and “go nite-nite.” I enjoy car rides and walk well on a leash. I love to get attention and please my people! I’m an affectionate “gentle giant” searching for a home with loving people to share it with! May I share yours?

Hi… my name is Tank,

I’m a Jack Russell Terrier mix, but who knows what the “mix” could be? Whatever it is, it just adds that special something that makes me the unique, personable dog I am today,… and proud of it! I walk pretty well on a leash, but further training would be a definite plus. I’m crate trained, know how to“sit,” and can use a doggie door. I’m definitely a “high energy” boy! I’ve been gentle and tolerant with children, but at times I get carried away and play a little too rough. One thing to consider, even with my short stature, I’ve been known to jump a high fence. I need an active person, who can harness my energy and teach me all of the basics I need to learn. In other words, I need you!

Rocco is a sweet and soft-natured 10-year-old, 75-pound Catahoula/Hound mix male who needs a new home.He is crate trained, has good leash manners, and is obedience trained (knows “sit, ”stay,” “come,” “touch” and “shake”). He is housebroken and asks to go out. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Rocco gets along with other dogs and would be best with older children; cats are unknown. He loves his soft ortho bed and only needs a short daily walk. He would be a great companion for a low-key senior. There is no adoption fee for this special boy. Kylo

Hi… my name is Kylo (aka Chase),

Can you come and take me somewhere where I can run and play? I’ve been cooped up for awhile. It was a freak accident: I was having fun jumping around my kennel when all of a sudden my leg gave way. Would you believe it was broken? They put all kinds of pins and wires in there and then I got to live with my foster mom for awhile. That was pretty boring because I had to stay “calm,” but it was also nice! She says I’m loving and mostly obedient (although that’s not always my strong suit) and have learned to sit, come, and wait at the door. Maybe I’ll get to go home to a place with kids, so we can jump up and down together—and you know I would sure like that!
